3 categories, 3 times and of course, 3 different prices.

We intend to start off our upcoming return to the House of Mouse by attending HDDR on our 1st night (12/3, Fri). Flight comes in at 2 so the 5:15 seating may be too early so we are shooting for the 7:15 one.

That said, how much better is Cat 1 vs Cat 2 vs Cat 3? The difference in cost is all of $9 from 3 to 1 so it seems highly likely that we will go for Cat 1. Another question would be if we should make this ADR now?

Thanks

I would definetely do at least 7:15pm. Travel time to the Hoop is usually long.

As for category, it really depends. I would do either 1 or 3. 1 will guarantee you on the floor but may be a bit back if reservations have been open for a while. 3 puts you upstairs, but we prefer it. I am sure if you search you will find the layout for the categories.

Enjoy your trip!

I prefer upstairs too. It's a great vantage point and you won't be ignored by the performers because they go up there as well. Have fun!:goodvibes

I have always done Cat 1 and 5:15 seating and would only do these times. Love it ! It works for me.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

That link has a little pic of the cat 1/2/3 seating charts. The PP are right, you can sit anywhere and be involved, they do a great job with moving around. I'd be concerned about making an ADR like this for arrival night though. What happens if your flight is seriously delayed or cancelled? I think you need to cancel at least 48 hours ahead of time to get your money back. For us, we never make ADRs that require prepayment for arrival night just in case.

Shortest route is bus to MK and take the boat to Ft. Wilderness. It's a short walk to Pioneer Hall. If you drive, you park at the Outpost and take an internal bus to Pioneer Hall. Plus, you have to drive home. Buses are provided to return to your resort just a few steps from the show. Figure 90 minutes before showtime.

TOTALLY agree with this post... I would not have this ressie dependant on an "IN TIME' Flight...

THat being said... DS18 and I enjoyed HDDR...and I WILL go back... HOWEVER I Paid top dollar for a "Level 1" seating and was seated in an area where I could NOT see the whole stage! I was behind a wall...and had to scoot my seat to the right to see even the RIGHT side of the stage... maybe they didn't care where they seated us as we were a party of Two...however I would not get level 1 seating again for Two...

Hugs,
Mary

Went iin Dec with a party of 2 and we sat at the table that abuts the stage, front and center. Now I got the ADR 90+ (before 180 returned) at 6 am. I've sat at most tables in Cat 1 and can't imagine what wall you're talking about. To the extreme right of stage as facing, the 'band' can be a slight barrier.

Our last visit to HDDR was two years ago and we had category one seats book way in advance. We got front row seating, but our table was the last one in the front row, right behind the piano. It was a very poor view. When we go this year, I am hoping for a better location.

Our Table was next to the door where the waiters/waitresses come in and out...

My son had a great view... Where I was sitting... the left side of the stage was obstructed by the left wall... I was probably about 2-3 tables back from you to the left, facing the stage, around the corner wall.

Again - I "scooted" my chair around but then was concerned about obstructing anyone else's view...

It was still a good time and I would go back.

Hugs,
Mary
