HDDR w/Dining plan: Beer and Sangria?

Hello all, please help answer this question. I checked with the MOMS Panel about this and got one answer, then still questioning it I chatted online with Disney and got a different answer.

When using the dining plan, it states non-alcoholic beverages only. At HDDR the beer and sangria are offered for adults, so I asked the mom's if it could be ordered when using the dining plan. They said 'YES'. I recently checked with Disney and they said 'NO'. Anyone have any experience with this at all? Did you pay out of pocket for alcoholic beverages or were they included in your bill. If you had to pay for them, did they put a gratuity with the beverages-even though the gratuity is included in your 2 TS credits?

We went to HDDR about 3 years ago with deluxe plan. I ordered Sangria as I had never had it before & it was included w/plan. No xtra charge.

You had one sentence that concerns me. The gratuity is not included in your TS credits; it's included in the price of the meal whether paying OOP or with credits. At any other restaurant, you will have to pay gratuity even if using credits.

I have done HDDR on the dining plan twice. Beer/wine, enough very yummy food to make you burst and tip were all included.

Sorry my wording concerned you, lol. I have good knowledge of the dining plan and gratuities, I guess when writing this I was assuming everyone who would reply would understand that I was implying that gratuities are included in the meal price, which when using the dining plan it takes 2 of my TS credits for things like HDDR or CRT-where as some of the other sit downs are a 1 credit and you are then paying for a tip at that time. Semantics! The real important point of this question was missed in your response, do you happen to know about the beer or sangria in when using the dining plan? Beer and wine (& gratuity) is included at Hoop Dee Doo - even if you are using the Dining Plan.
