HBD/Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge - Grapefruit Cake?

Hello all! I am planning my trip to WDW in Oct 2017 currently and am really excited to see all the changes since my last trip in 2012 (5 years already!!)

I've been reading about the new (to me) Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge and saw that there is a "mini" grapefruit cake offered as part of the dessert trio menu. I thought the "mini" was because this was the lounge, but looking at the HBD restaurant menu I only see the "mini" listed there as well!!

Is the full size grapefruit cake no longer served at HBD? I don't believe it can be found anywhere else on property either. I will be very sad if this is true!

Don't think it's served in full now. Anytime I've gone it's been the mini trio versions. You can however request the recipe ... (it's on a printed Brown Derby cut out card!).

Very sad news Thank you both for sharing. I did see pictures of a recipe card online - good to know that it can be physically requested for take-home!

I might just have to request all 3 as the grapefruit cake...

I don't even like grapefruit but that cake is delicious! I would get the trio of the Grapefruit Cake!

Huge grapefruit cake fan here. I can't believe they degraded such an iconic item to a mini dessert trio status. I think you are allowed to request the cake be all three choices. I haven't done that; but I'm thinking of asking next time.

We did this on our last visit. Got one trio of all grapefruit cake, and one trio of all crème brulee.

I usually get at least one of the mini grapefruit cake now, but to me it's still not the same as that one big delicious slice that you used to get. None of the minis to me are the same--somehow something is lost by cramming them into that small cup.
