Hey guys it is now official we are going for the HB+ vouchers !! I would like your recommendations of the best places to go. We are planning to hit Annette's and Walt's for sure:yay: :dance3: :yay: :woohoo: :dance3: :woohoo:

:worship: By the way you guys ROCK !!!!:worship:

Oh Yeah the cast is Me (Dad), Mom, Son 13, son 8, and daughter 7.

While I am at it my wife had a question as well. Outside of the places to eat in the HNY and California grill, is park attire ( Jeans, shirt and sneakers) acceptable or is there a dress code we should be aware of. Thanks again.

Park attire is acceptable anywhere (even in the California Grill!).
With 2 boys I guess you won't be too interested in the princesses which cuts out Auberge. If you're there on a Sunday our favourite meal is the brunch at The Steakhouse in the Village, which is a character meal.
We would always eat at Annettes every time we visit.
The Cowboy Cookout is good for a quick lunch.
Inventions is wonderful food for a buffet, but expensive.
Rainforest Cafe has huge portions and a great atmosphere.

I can also recommend the Steakhouse in the Disney Village- It's a fantastic restaurant with (from what I remember) a good half board menu...

Bear in mind that some DISers have reported problems using the HB+ vouchers at the Character Sunday Brunch at the Steakhouse. :confused3
We're also planning on booking HB+ and eating at Billy Bobs on the Thursday evening we arrive, Lucky Nugget on Friday with a Birthday Cake, Rendez vous des Stars on Saturday as planning a day in the Studios, Sunday I can't decide between Plaza Gardens, Walts, the Silver Spur Steakhouse in Frontierland or the Steakhouse in the Village and then on departure day I'm considering booking the latest Character breakfast we can as we won't have any vouchers left and hoping that and snacks will see us through until we arrive home in the evening.

But I do love planning our meals so that could all change.;)

The Steakhouse gets another vote from me. Can't comment on the Sunday brunch, but we ate there on Thursday night and it was fantastic. Great service, great food. We ate of the €33 set menu and the half board plus vouchers covered it all so fab value for money too.

The steakhouse gets another vote from me too! It was our favourite meal on our trip!:)

Out of the six half board plus restaurants that we have used over the last two trips (i.e - vouchers covered the total bill for the meal and drink without paying any extra), I would say that the steakhouse and walts have been our firm favourites, followed closely by billy bobs!

We definately have Billy Bob's on our list for next time :thumbsup2 Did you have the buffet ? and how was it ? Not many reviews on Billy Bob's on the net :confused3
At Walt's and the Steakhouse are you restricted when you use the vouchers as HB+, I assume you choose from a set menu ?
I know people talk about using them at face value, but it all starts to sound very complicated.:headache:

I had problems when I wanted to use H/B premium in The Steakhouse. They wouldn't accept at face value.

They do had a tab menu for those using the H/B+ vouchers I think there was a choice of 3 starters/mains and dessert

We ate at billy bobs both visits as dh loves mexican food. They only serve an all you can eat buffet which was really nice - salads, cold meats etc to start/side, and then a selection of chilli, fajitas, carved meats, lovely spicy chicken wings followed by a choice of approx 5 desserts. There is also a childrens buffet of sausages, nuggets, chips etc, but my children chose bits from both buffets. The drinks that are included with the voucher are really big too, so unless you wanted wine/beer, the vouchers completely cover it!

Walts and the steakhouse both have a limited menu of about 3 choices of starters, main and desserts for the half board plus, but the food we had in both restaurants was lovely. We had a 3pm booking in walts on a sunday afternoon, which was nice as it was really quiet, and very relaxing.

We prefer not to do the face value thing as i think you get much better value for using just the vouchers - i.e the HB+ vouchers cover the 33 euro menu in the steakhouse (plus you are getting a drink too)!

Good to hear good info on Billy Bobs. This is top of our list to try next time, thanks :thumbsup2

I used my half board premium for half board in December at face value - this was no problem at all :confused3
