Hawaii?

I'm full swing into the planning stages of our Disney trip next Sept/Oct, but our stop over in Hawaii on the way home has me a bit stumped. Not many hotels in the Waikiki beach area seem to cater for big families like mine -2 adults and 4 children whose ages will be 4, 8, 9 and 11. We like the look of the Hilton Hawaiian Village, which in one brochure says it has interconnecting rooms and another doesn't mention it, also not having luck on the website.
Has anyone else with a family as big as ours stayed here? Or could you recommend any where else?

If you don't really really want to be in Waikiki - check out Disney Aulani, its great for families although a little pricey, they have specials sometimes!
