I USED to be a
travel agent that specialized in Hawaii. lol-
I'm a school bus driver now. What are you looking for in
a hotel? Condos are great in Maui - nothing like breakfast
on your lanai in your pjs! I don't suggest cooking-just a frig
to keep the champagne cold and a microwave to reheat the
doggy bag from last night's restaurant for lunch when you
are still not inclined to get dressed or at least wear more than
a bathing suit. My only other advice-get ocean front or AT LEAST
a real view from your room with a balcony. Those ocean breezes
and the sound of waves are beyond compare in Hawaii.
Lots of people take cheap trips to Hawaii. they are mostly happy
but only because they don't know what they are missing.
If this is a once in a lifetime- carpe diem.
Classic Hawaii has excellent choices in hotels. They can recommend a
travel agency in your area and usually have a
list of those that really produce for them-therefore are experts.
p.s. my favorite island is Hawaii-"the big island." Maui has
the best beaches though.
