Hawaii Aulani - Rent points for DVC or book normal room via Disney.com?

Should I book a normal room via Disney directly, or should I rent points to get a DVC room? Looking for a 2 bedroom, ocean view, for 5-7 nights or so.

Any advice?

We rented points and are saving almost half the cost on the room. We are going in April so I can't speak yet for how it all works out, but so far I am thrilled at the savings. Another benefit to renting points is that you will get free parking. Otherwise it is $35/night.
