I want to love the new 5-0. I loved the old one. I love some of the characters. But it keeps getting ridiculous. I accepted that though as a cheesy show. Then a few weeks ago McGarritt was pulling a boat far to shore by swimming - you would think that was crazy enough until he fought the shark. Last week he hid under an armored truck climbed out at high speed planted a bomb on the door walked across the roof killed the driver and started driving. I know I'll keep watching - great music and scenery plus Lost actors. Do you ever keep watching a show that has gone completel mad?

But isn't his characger former Navy special ops? I like the old and new versions. It is an action adventure show. But, yea I kept watching Lost and felt let down the way it ended,it was way crazy.

You pay attention to the plot? I find the show completely eye candy, that's all. I DO like to watch it though. I'm an Alex O'loughlin fan, lol! I like the music too! One of the other things I find amusing is that the Wofat character is played by The Chairman from Iron Chef! Love seeing the Hawaiian Islands!

I liked the first season. This year has been kind of dumb. I don't like Steve's mom (Christine Lahti?) or his sister and I am so over WoFat. And it has gotten a bit too violent for me.

Oh, I so don't want to admit this, but this show is my guilty pleasure.

From the car-guments to the ridiculous plots, I just love it. I love the scenery, both of the male version and the gorgeous backgrounds.

Oh wow. He's the chairman? I knew he looked familiar. I didn't know he did anything else. I just kinda thought he was the chairman

ditto!

Wow, those scenes DO sound ridiculous.
I only watched one episode (not the first one) and it didn't draw me in, so we didn't continue.

You made it further than me. I wasted an hour on the first episode, haven't watch it since.

I like this show, I do think it is way over the top sometimes, but still good entertainment. Haven't had a chance to watch the current season yet. I'll wait until it is done and download them and watch them in a few days.

I like it too. I DVr it. But sometimes when I'm watching ill laugh a bit at just how ridiculous it is.

DH and I watch it but I do find the plots ridiculous. I also find unbelievable what they are allowed to do because they are 5-0.

Do like the shirtless scenes.:cool1:

For me, it's The Mentalist---I am so tired of the "Red John" theme-it's just sucked the joy out of the program.:confused3

I do watch Hawaii 50--I agree that Steve's mother and sister are duds but oh boy--the scenery!! Oh yeah--it's nice seeing Hawaii, too:goodvibes

Yup! Count me in. :thumbsup2

Although I'm also in the "don't like Steve's mom" camp. I was so over "Joe White" and was hoping that Terry O'Quinn's new series would take off on ABC. Now that it's been cancelled, I'm scared that Joe will return and he and Doris will go off and hijack the plot, such as it is.

I also wouldn't mind seeing less of Max, and I'm not at all happy that Steve's girlfriend has become female super ninja. Doesn't give much credence to Five-O being the elite when, apparently, anyone who Steve meets suddenly becomes skilled in everything from finding people who were in witness protection to tracking down in two days some evil villain that no one has been able to find for decades.

But still ... Alex O'Laughlin ... Hawaii ...

:earsboy:

Oh my, I watch this show weekly. LOL I love it!!! I'm a huge Alex fan, loved him in Moonlight, Three Rivers, loved him in August Rush......drool time. lol DBF knows and understands so we do watch it weekly. lol But yes, crazy ridiculous story lines that are too predictable, I knew who Shelburn (sp) was before they revealed it was his Mom. And yes, his sister Mary drives me nuts and why did she leave so fast? Let me tell you, if my Mom returned from the dead and at the end of the episode I was crying in her arms I wouldn't be gone on the next episode. ROFL!
But I'll keep watching, even if only for the interaction between Steve & Dan-O, those 2 crack me up!

Can't stand the new Hawaii Five-0. Would rather watch the old Hawaii Five-O. It is much better than this one. Wish CBS had never remade the show at all.

That's kind of how I think as well. I'm not watching it for great mental stimulation. Sure the stories are pretty farfetched, but hey....the guys sure do make up for any lack of believable story line!!!

I used to watch this one religiously. Not anymore. I am really 'over' the RedJohn thing...and the spiraling downhill mentally!! Makes me uncomfortable to watch.

My problem with the Mentalist is that the entire concept was a total ripoff of Psych.
