Hawaii 5 0 - or when shows get too ridiculous

I'm in the minority apparently. I love this show. SUre, some of the plots and scenes are over the top, but its a TV SHOW! It is entertainment, not meant to be always believable.

I'm a huge fan of the show, myself (love Hawaii with a fiery passion), but I had real problems with the laziness of the writing this week (called shenanigans every 2 minutes, it was ridiculous. Don't get me started. Getting a restraining order against a police officer who is investigating you for murder?!? I'm surprised all crooks don't do that. ). I am hoping the writers up their game again. In the interest of fairness, one thing I was pleased about in the last episode was that they went to Maui. If they are Hawaii 5-0, and not Oahu 5-0, they should be showing more of the other lovely islands as well.

Big fan!!! I was a die-hard fan of the old 5-0, too!! Love Alex O AND Scott C. Then there's the scenery, action and adventure. I love it. :)

Oh wow. He's the chairman? I knew he looked familiar. I didn't know he did anything else. I just kinda thought he was the chairman

His name is Mark Decascos; he did season 9 of Dancing With the Stars.

My problem with the Mentalist is that the entire concept was a total ripoff of Psych.

Not really. While Shaun Spencer pretends to be psychic, Patrick Jane used to pretend to be psychic, but came clean after Red John murdered his family (which was before the show started).

A shirtless Steve in Hawaii, couldn't get much better. I watch it every week. Actually, I'll watch anything Alex is in. Never found the stories too stupid to stop watching the show. I also like seeing the Iron Chef Chairman as WoFat. Masaharu Morimoto was on an episode last season too.

the actor who played Sisko in Deep space nine occasionally shows up as Steve's boss. Terry O'Quinn is in a show broadcasting next year called full circle.

I missed this thread when it was current, but since it's been resurrected I'll post my thoughts. DW watches regularly, me just occasionally. A few seasons ago, the cliffhanger was A.O'L getting framed for murdering the governor Jean Smart. I was hoping the next season would have three or four episodes of him in jail trying to prove his innocence. But No!!! Everything was resolved within 45 minutes, and he broke 58 laws doing it. Phooey!!! Have only seen two or three episodes since.

The governor isn't played by Avery Brooks (the actor who played Sisko). It's an actor named Richard T. Jones.
