First I apologize if this has already been asked...

Since we are coming from KC, MO we have a contigency plan for a friend of ours who lives in florida to pick up our packets for us (we love you mark!), I have already printed out the waivers and made copies of our drivers license but I heard there is a seperate form that has to be signed for someone else to pick up your stuff? I am not sure where to find this? Or if it even exists.

Thanks everyone for your help, just trying to plan for all possible situations. (weather!)

Also, if you haven't done this in the past, make sure that whoever is picking up your bibs activates them at the expo. We are picking up the packets for our DD and her significant other. As the pp stated just print our the authorization form and fill it out and then the person picking up the packets will also have to sign it.

To be clear, the bibs do not need 'activated.' It will work regardless...

Back in the days prior to the b-chips (chips glued to the back of the bib) and d-tags the race used rental chips. Each chip was a hard plastic RFID unit that carried it's own unique serial number and there was a small percentage of chips that would be mis-assigned. As a QA check, larger races would set up a small timing mat and computer so you could run your chip over the mat to verify it was the correct chip and bib.

Today since they are a manufactured as one, that error possibility is very remote. Make sure that the package picked up has your name and bib number and look at the bib to assure that you have picked up your correct bib.
