I am scheduled for 7:30am, they want me there at 6:30am. Oh how I wish this was over with, I have had so many eye operations in the past 4 years that it is driving me nuts. Well OK in a good way, I am so thankful to see all the beautiful things around me. I am hoping this will be my last surgery! I will have to the other one removed in about a month. I hear of so many people having cateract surgery anymore.

that kind of surgery means you are old

I just got my new, much weaker, glasses last week after cataract surgery in both eyes. I am so pleased with the results. And yes, cataract surgery is very common. It was somewhat like an assembly line procedure - there were so many of us. I had a great surgeon and it was painless. If you get a choice of sedated or not sedated (I had one of each) I advise you take sedated. No pain but the noise I heard sounded very much like a dentist drill and made me anxious. Otherwise, it was a piece of cake.

Best wishes Kitty! It'll be a piece of cake.

After my neighbor had cataract surgery he had to have his house painted! He said he didn't realize how dingy everything had gotten over the years he couldn't see.

Always the prankster, he would lovingly squeeze his wife's arm and tell us he never realized how wrinkly she had gotten over the years either! Then he woud give her a kiss! He was only teasing!

I say a little prayer for you!

I hope everything goes well for you. From what I hear, if the doctor is reputible this surgery is a breeze and when it is over you see like never before. The benefits out weigh the risk, but NTL I will pray for you anyway. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

All the adults that I've known who had this surgery came through with flying colours and absolutely no problems at all.

My one year old cocker spaniel had to wear a cone on her head for a week though. I hope you can avoid that!:p

That is great this surgery is available and so successful, MsDisney23. My best for a good one, my prayers are with you.
And Aunt Jo, always nice to see you every so often as we do.
