Haven't received National EC card

My husband joined National Emerald Club about a month and a half ago, but hasn't received his card yet. We are leaving in 12 days, so I am getting worried whether we' ll receive the card in time for the trip.
Do we really need it or is it enough to present the EC # and the credit card associated with the EC card?

All that will be needed is your EC number and usually that is tied to the reservation, license and CC.

when i applied for EA, i got to print my card out , otherwise it stated to write the # down for futher future ressies.
