Are you new to the boards? Have you been on the DIS for awhile, but have never posted? Stop here and say hello! Introduce yourself! Tell us where you are from. We'd love to meet you! This is also a great place for those of us who have been on the boards to wave hello as well. :goodvibes

Yes, this *is* Sayhello here! Did you want something? ;)

:rotfl:

Sayhello

I have been listening to the podcasts for a few years now. The podcasts make me laugh, I look forward to listening to them. I have been going to Disneyland my whole life, the first time was when my mother was pregnant with me. It is my happy place. I am not much for writing so I probably won't post very much but I really enjoy reading the disboards, everyone seem so warm and friendly. It nice to see how many other people love Disney. I have been to WDW about 10 times now. I am planning a trip for 2012 was thinking about Sept but the weather is giving me second and third thoughts. I live in the San Francisco area of California, was born here. I am Mother to a lovely daughter and Grandmother to the most precious grandson ever.

Hi! I'm Meaghan. I'm a library technician from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. I've been a Disney fan since childhood but we could never afford to come to the parks. I went once with my school for a high school graduation trip and never wanted to leave. Now, as an adult, I'm taking my mom on her first trip. I discovered the DIS about a year and a half ago when I started doing some preliminary planning. Now, I'm addicted. I'm not much of a poster but I am an avid reader, I read the boards pretty much every day and anxiously await podcast release day.

It's nice to meet you all! :wave2:

:welcome: I just flew home from almost two weeks in California. I really like it there and hope to visit other parts some day. I've never been to San Francisco. How far are you from Disneyland?

:welcome: That must have been an awesome graduation trip to Disney! I sure wish we were that lucky. When are you taking your mom? Do you have a hotel in mind yet?

Hi Nikki, We are going April 21-28 and staying at Port Orleans Riverside in one of the new princess themed rooms. I just signed up with Dreams and am very excited to start fine tuning the details :woohoo:

Hi! I am not new to the DIS but I am new to lurking over here. I have listened to the podcast for a few years. DH and I got married at Disney World last year and we just bought into DVC so I have been hanging out on those boards.

We are leaving next month for San Francisco and Aulani. I am so excited! We are going to go the Walt Disney Family Museum much to DH's dismay. DH claims to not be a Disney fan but with getting married there and buying into DVC I think he is losing that battle!

I am trying to convince DH that we should go on an ABD trip next year so I have been busy researching that.

We are from the suburbs of Philadelphia.

OK, OK! I just finished listening to the email show this week and the guilt of being a LISTENER only to the podcast has finally gotten to me. I have registered and this is my FIRST post! I am a Land Surveyor from Georgia (metro Atlanta area) who has been to WDW several times since 2005. I always thought Disney was not for me...until I saw the magic in my DD's eyes on our first trip. Disney is very special to our family (DW, me and DD10) as we love planning our trips as much as going on them! I look forward to getting to "know" you guys and hopefully participating in some of the events in the future.

You all seem to be a GREAT group of people.

Hi everyone. I'm a long time lurker, first time poster. I've been reading the boards and listening to the podcast for about 3 or 4 years now.

About us: I'm a machine designer from southern Ontario, Canada. My wife is a stay-at-home mom to our 5 year old daughter and 8 month old son.

Our first trip to the World was our honeymoon at CBR in June 2003. My wife and I stayed at POP in February 2007, and then in the Fort Wilderness cabins for my daughter's first visit in October 2009.

This year, we are doing the cabins again in September, then Wilderness Lodge in December for my wife's birthday (that one's a surprise though).

Wow. I must be living under a rock. I hadn't heard about the new princess rooms over at POR. I knew that they re-did some to pirate theme, but this is all new to me! How exciting!!

Aulani! :cloud9: I can't wait to get there. I've never been to Hawaii and this is just the perfect excuse! I also own in DVC; AKL is my home resort. How about you?

I definitely recommend ABD. I just got back from the latest DIS Backstage Magic group that went out to California and can't speak enough about it. What an amazing trip!

:wave2: Hi I'm Karin from South Jersey (eh, originally from suburbs of Philly). I'm an Exercise Science & Wellness professor, finishing up my PhD, & training for my 2nd marathon - Disney of course! I've been on the Boards, but haven't posted much.

Husband is going to Disney in October to work the Children's Miracle Network Classic (he's doing the leader boards) & we're all going in January for the marathon.

Is it sad that we just came back in May & having to wait until January is KILLING me?
Hope to meet some of you soon! :flower3:

I always fly, the flight takes less than an hour. I can leave my house around 6am and be in Disneyland by noon. The drive is just a little too long for me. So it is very easy to go for the week-end and get my disney fix. I do sometimes dream of Orlando and how cool it would be to live there and go to WDW on the week-ends. I am planning to go Sept 2012 but I am worried about the weather. Once again thank you for such a warm welcome to the boards.

Ok! I'm a long-time listener to the podcast and have never posted, but here I go. We're semi-recent DVC owners and have a trip coming up next week for DD birthday!! W00T! We're from the phila suburbs and have been coming to Disney for several years now. I've managed to turn the whole family into Disney fanatics!

Nikki, congrats on your Lox challenge!!!

We are so excited for Aulani! We have never been to Hawaii either but I can tell we are going to love it. We just bought a small contract at SSR.

Lafayette Hill, Montgomery County. The rest of my family is still there....I wish I was too.

Hello!
I am a longtime lurker and have listened for a year. Originally from Philadelphia, we now live in Chester county and are anxiously counting down to our first trip with our kids, ages 9 and 3. The boards have been invaluable in planning, as I have lurked on the disAbilities board to prepare traveling with my 9 year old with ASD. I am somewhat of a runner and was in the world for Princess weekend this year with plans for wine/dine weekend and Princess 2012!! Nice to meet you all. princess:
