Haven't kept up since 2015, what have I missed?

Last WDW trip the (now) wife and I went on was November 2015, where I proposed to her.

For our honeymoon in early 2017 we went to Disneyland as first-timers and we went a second time in 2019 as we liked it so much.

But I've completely lost track of what's been going on over at the east coast in that time. I know there's been a lot of planned construction that may or not have fallen by the wayside due to COVID-19.

Is Epcot still a mess? Last I heard a lot of their grand refurbishment plans fell through due to attendance and Bob Chapek being Bob Chapek.

Anyone care to fill me in? Thanks.

Yes, Epcot is still a mess, but the new coaster Guardians of the Galaxy opens May 27. Other changes include Park Pass Reservations, Genie, and virtual queues. I’d suggest pulling up the park maps here on DISboards and reviewing the lists of attractions and restaurants, etc.

Your best bet is to start reading the long threads here on this board. Maybe start halfway through as strategies have changed in a few months. It’s too much for a run down.

EPCOT is still a mess. As MainMom points out there are some excellent threads. There are also plenty of online videos from vloggers that show the construction.

What was Futureworld is a ring of attractions surrounding heaps of dirt and concrete all divided by a rabbit warren of painted plywood walls.

Mouse Gear is now the Creations Shop, which I like.

Electric Umbrella is no more and is being replaced by the Connections Eatery scheduled to open "soon."

Club Cool is back in business and has the same cool vibe and free tastes of Coca Cola products, but it's moved to the tunnel leading to Mission Space.

Spaceship Earth has sprouted way cool LED lighting. It's worth a trip to the main entrance plaza just to see it in the evenings as it puts on a show.

Illuminations has been replaced by an IP-laden "Harmonius" show. We loved Illuminations and would go multiple times every visit. Once was (more than) enough of Harmonius for us. Its barges seriously clutter the International Showcase sightline during the day.

Lots and lots that is new. Even things that seem old, like making ADRs, are different now. Also, things change constantly due to covid, staffing, and supply chains. Start over. Sorry. Good luck

A lot has changed since then. Read up on Genie+ and Individual Lightening Lane.

Some things have been closed since the pandemic (Victoria & Albert’s, for example).

There are new attractions, such as Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

Keep reading these boards. There’s too much to write down in one shot.

I was in the same boat and am going for the first time in 12 years in late May.
Between these boards and DisUnplugged I have gotten really caught up and am starting to feel pretty confident in the plans. Only thing to really know is the 60 days out for Dining reservations. I booked the tickets with 65 days to learn and plan so it's a bit a blur. Also, AllEars on YT is great. I love Molly's videos.

Good luck!!
