Haven't even had the wedding and planning our one year anniversary trip!- need help!

YYYYYYAAAAAAYYYYYY!!!

DF just gave me the news that for our one year anniversary he is taking me back to the World! (I already got him hooked on the mouse it is great!)

Since we will have much more money at that time to spend on our trip, we are going to go Deluxe Resort! This will be both of our first experiences with a Deluxe Resort, so we are clueless.

Where should we stay? I am all for the Poly, he is leaning more towards the Contemporary. We are going to stay for 10 nights, 11 days. So I am thinking a spiltsy between the two. But the little mouse in me is curious about maybe GF or WL? What to choose? Too many choices! The next year will be Disney overload! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay! Lucky you. I would choose WL and GF. I have stayed at Contemporty and really wasnt that impressed.

My problem with the Contemporary is if we are going to stay there I want to stay in a tower room, which is pretty pricey. And while we are letting loose with our wallets for this trip, I don't think we are willing to LOSE our wallets! But, my opinion of the Contemporary there is no point in staying there unless you are in the tower.....is that silly?

Tink... Ive been on your side since day 1.... and Im telling you, take my advice and atleast stay 1 night at the WL! It is the cheapest of all deluxe resorts, and so impressive!!! Good luck.. you have plenty of time to decide I recommend going and looking at them while on your honeymoon!

Too funny, I told Doug "well I guess on our honeymoon we can take tours to help us decide!" - I think that is a must! lol.... Looking at pics of WL I am impressed. Where is that located on property?

It is a MK resort, you can take a boat to the hotel (while you are there you should experience that atmosphere at Whispering Canyon Cafe - Dh and I love the skillet!).

How exciting and fun!! Another vote for WL (but I am a bit biased ). I've stayed at almost all of the Disney Resorts and I love WL the best. I know some folks will hate me saying this, but I really did not care for the Poly at all. I've stayed there twice and last time had a very negative experience. I like the Contemporary a lot. I've stayed there many times, on all the different levels (but always in the tower) and have never been disappointed. I have not stayed at the GF but my sister has stayed there a couple of times and she thought the rooms were small for the money. I'm sure a suite would be great, but a regular room might not be worth the money? The WL is so beautiful and romantic

Well DF and I checked out the WL online, and we are intrigued, plus with the price ranges and it being an MK resort....what more can you ask for!? So we are def. checking that baby out in March!

We chose to stay at the WL too for part of our Honeymoon. It seemed to be the most affordable Deluxe with a great atmosphere. We're splitting our stay with POFQ, so we decided to splurge a little for our first few nights!

My vote goes for WL ! The resort just exudes romance and it is my favorites of all the deluxe. I don't think you can go wrong with whatever resort you choose. I agree - no point to stay at the Contemporary unless in the tower.

Another vote for the WL! I just got back from my planning session today, and DF and I ate at Artist Point last night. We kept saying "why didn't we stay here?" It's definitely the prettiest resort IMHO and such a bargain compared to the other deluxes. We'll be staying there for our first trip back after the wedding

I think I have DF on board! We are even going to make a ressie at Artist Point for our Disneymoon, so we can see the resort, and enjoy this restaurant everyone is talking about!

I love WL but can't stand their rooms. The resort itself is just beautiful! The most romantic IMO is the Poly. My DF fell in love with the newly refurbished rooms. As much as I would love to stay at Contemporary I have to agree with my DF who saw it for the first time on our last trip and said it reminded him of an airport. I agree though I would rather stay at WL than a CR garden room. Maybe split between WL and Poly? We split our stay for the first time on our last trip and it was a breeze!

The only thing to think about is if you like having things shipped back to your resort after you buy them at the parks you can't do it the day before or the day that you check out of your resort. But it was so easy for us! Makes you feel like you get two seperate vacations!
