Who has used the concierge at PP and or DLH? What did you think? Was it worth the money?

I have used it at the CGH and enjoyed it but we had two families in one room (ok us and a couple with no kids) so we slip the cost and found it to be worth it in the drinks alone (both water and the evening spirit drinks).

Did you use it for a family or as adults only (we are thinking of a trip w/o kids as well).

Thank you for your time.

We used it last fall at PP. "Worth" is so different for different people, its hard to give an answer. We didnt have a lot of choice. We wanted to stay on site. DLH was sold out. We could have regular at GC, regular room at PP or conc. at PP- all were the same price. We went with conc. at PP because in the long run it would be cheaper then GC, because of the breakfast and drinks.

Was it nice? Yes. Would we do it again? Probably not. There were 4 of us (2 adults 2 kids) in our room, and my MIL/ FIL another room. We ate breakfast everyday (savings=about $50 for our family of 4). We took drinks to our room and to the park. That was at least $10 a day in drinks, maybe more like $15. We only did the evening snacks once. We treated it as a light dinner, and had snacks in the park after. We dont drink (dh is recovered alcoholic) so we didnt have any beer or wine. We didnt watch movies with the dvd loaning system. We did like the evening turn down, it felt special. The staff in the conc. lounge were very nice, and good at anticipating our needs.

We haven't, just didn't seem worth it money wise for us. One morning were having breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen, and the other two we'll probably just have DH go grab us a quick McDonald's breakfast. Drinks, we usually bring quite a bit of soda in our cooler. And I really don't mind buying drinks in the park when needed. As far as DVD goes, we also have a portable DVD player that we bring in the car. But usually were busy at the park and then if we are relaxing in the room normal TV is fine.

So drinks in the park would probably be what we'd use the most. And even with their prices in the park, I don't think it would add up to what concierge would cost! For us we'd rather use the money in the park on souvenirs! :)

Thank you.

I am looking at going with a few friends (no kids this round) and if we share a room and split the coast it might be worth it, but we will see. 3-4 people might make it worth it. I will ask them what they think.
