Have you used a sling or baby carrier for a toddler while pregnant? Sometimes DD (19 months, 20 pounds) will stay in her stroller without screaming, but sometimes she just wants to walk on her own or be held. I'm 5 weeks pregnant, and plan to ask my OB at my first appt, but I'm just curious what you've done. DH tries to carry her whenever needed when we're together, but sometimes it's just DD and I, and she wants to be held anyway, so I am thinking it might be better for me to use the sling. Thoughts?

It has never bothered me at all when I was pregnant. But, if you feel any pain, or discomfort I would stop. But, it never bothered me, I was carrying them anyway, so a sling, a carrier all that did not bother me.
feel good!

I have never worn my kids while pg..(i have a really bad back that just gets worse while pg) i know A LOT of ladies do.. ...anyway...
I would maybe post on http://thebabywearer.com/ and ask some ladies there...

Yes, I used a sling while pregnant. I just made sure that the older child wasn't putting a lot of pressure on my belly. I more used the sling as a hip harness. you know what I mean? It just helped my arm to not fall off while holding her on my hip.

Congratulations on your new baby to be!

I wore my 27 lb 2 year old on my front and back in an ergo while 30 weeks preg with DS#2

I wore the belt slung low under my belly... Both occations were visits to my OB when my 2 year old fell asleep

I have 3 children all 2 years apart. I frequently wore the toddler and sometimes the 3+ year old in the sling during my pregnancies (on my hip or back). Our Disney trips seem to take place between 28-31 weeks of our pregnancies. No problem. You know when your back can't take it anymore and it certainly won't hurt the baby.

The bigger concern at Disney while pregnant is staying hydrated. I knew immediately whenever I started contracting at Disney it was time to get some water and sit down. The contractions always stopped and I had no further problems. You aren't far enough along to worry about contractions, but you may have cramping. Just take good care of yourself. And believe me you will be traveling on "toddler time" and you won't have to worry about pushing yourself too hard. It is hard to hurt your pregnancy unless of course you are smoking, drinking, or doing drugs. Stay hydrated and enjoy yourself!
