yup! ate there two weeks ago and loved it. and this is coming from a picky greek mother and me, her daughter

didnt have the steak but had...

spiro's salad... very good quality feta
spanakopita...very good...small for the price
pastitso... LOVED it! strong on the cinammon but still really enjoyed it
lamb shank... lamb melted off the bone..didnt really like the beans with it but was too full to care
loukoumades... loved them. warm and fresh...just as good as the ones we make
galaktoboureko... very good also

i'm a big fan and cant wait to go back!

We ate there in September and it was one of our favorites. We shared the saganaki appetizer (I'd never had it before ... I didn't love it but I'm pretty sure that's because I just don't like saganaki as much as I thought I would, I think they made a pretty good example of it). BTW they flame it in the (open) kitchen where the whole restaurant can see, not at your table, but they do flame it.

DH had the lamb shank (absolutely to die for, and we really liked the beans also), I had the seafood stew (liked it except I only got 1 scallop and a ton of mussels and clams), then he had the baklava (he said it was some of the best he's ever eaten but not *the* best) and I had the galaktoboureko (excellent).

We also had the pomegranate lemonade as our non-alcoholic beverage and it was amazing ... I think they make it fresh there at the restaurant. We also split a half-bottle of the Coranation Sauvignon Blanc (Cat Cora's own label), it was so nice that you could order a half-bottle, it was exactly the right amount of wine for two people and I wish more places did it.

Our server was also absolutely wonderful. Basically the only place with better food was Jiko and the only place with better service was Narcoossee's.

My sister had the flank steak in September and raved about it. My niece had the fisherman's stew and loved that also. My sister said that she wanted to drink the broth like a soup because it was so good. She recommended it to us when we went this weekend. Although we did not make it for dinner, we had breakfast there yesterday. The french toast was delicious. DH only had the American breakfast. A friend loved the waffle. But we all enjoyed the sweet potato hash so much that we requested that the recipe be emailed to us. It was outstanding.

I ate there Monday and had the Whole Fish (a 2lb Red Snapper).
The service was excellent and the food was very good overall.
(I was not as happy with the soup or Dessert, but they were not bad)
I was impressed to see the head chef walking around making sure everything was good.
She knew I had had the fish (I was eating desert at the time) and asked me if I had enjoyed the fish.
There are very few locations in Disney where the Chef actually interacts (or cares) in this way.

It was very good and I will be going back again this Monday.

We ate there in early September...lousy service and not impressed with the food. I had the steak...so salty I had to scrape the outside to get it to an acceptable level of over-salted. And it was very over-cooked (asked for rare and waitress said "medium O.K.?" as if that was the only way to get it. Which I guess it was.) Everything was delivered at different times...one person would get their entree, and then quite an interval before the next entree showed up. Very odd way to serve a table of three.

Maybe they've perfected the service & cooking issues...but while we were there the emphasis seemed to be on all the servers assembling around the open kitchen every few minutes to shout "Opa". Would have much preferred good service to the contrived cheering.

We'll be trying it next Thursday. I"m a bit worried as I'm not familiar with Greek food at all. But I figure it is only one meal out of many at Disney so if it is bad, we just won't return in the future. But I may find that I love it, so we'll try it at least once.

I'll ask about this when I am there. It may have something to do with the cooking process, but I can not understand what.

There was no shouting when I was there thankfully, so they may have stopped that.

I agree this was very odd. I was on my own, but the side of brussel sprouts I ordered showed up 5 minutes after the entree.

At a table with multiple people they could learn a lesson from Emeril.
His locations are very specific about having all the plates served to the customers at the same time. They are covered and revealed at the same time to give that big ooh aah moment. A little cheesy, but affective.

We actually didnt' have too many Opa's!! either. The only time they did it was when it was someone's birthday and they brought out the cupcake. I politely refused mine before they brought it out because i was so full I wouldn't even have touched it. Wouldn't have minded the Opa though

That is correct, I had just been about to say that the only times we heard it were when they flamed the saganaki and once for a birthday.

Our entrees arrived a little early (we were still working on the saganaki) but that was the only service issue we had.

I am so excited to try this new place. One of my traveling companions loves Greek food and it is her first trip to the world. We are going on our very first night.

They even asked me about celebrations and I told them it was my DF's first night on her first trip; they are going to do something special for her.....I cannot wait!

We ate there during the soft opening in September. DW had the flank steak and like it a lot. I had something described as a Greek lasagna which wasn't particularly flavorful. Service was just fair and deteriorated as the meal progressed.

I'd probably give it another shot and try the whole fish or the lamb. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on service since they had only been open for a short time when we were there

I am full blooded Greek and My dh and I are going to try it in December. I cant wait to see if it is a traditional as it sounds. There are some dishes I know I wont be trying because no matter what tehy will not taste the same as my mothers!!!!

Kouzzina received a pretty savage review on the podcast, but I thought it wasn't quite that bad (I might have low standards and a forgiving memory). I didn't think it was that great either, though. On the other hand, the family at the next table was eating there for the 4th night in a row - their kids _loved_ the place, so go figure.

I had dinner there a few weeks after official opening and the service seemed fine. The food seemed ok but nothing to write home about. The server recommended the whole [lot of] fish entree but didn't adequately convey how much fish it was - this plus a side dish might be enough for 2 adults. If you go for the sorbet dessert, taste the mint syrup first before pouring - I found it to be pretty vile (the syrup, not the sorbet).

Also, I think the kitchen shouted "opa" whenever someone banged a pot or dropped a utensil.
