We are considering a stay here. Anyone have and advice? Clean? Location? Safe?

Thanks,

Penny

Do not stay here unless you want to be next to the clubs where everyone is partying and it is loud and crazy plus the place is old and kind of gross. I am not sure what you kind of place you want but this is the party place.

Thanks. It is so hard to tell just looking at websites. Can you recommend a nice place for three mothers traveling with 6 eighteen and nineteen year olds? Two friends and I are taking our kids to the beach the end of May.

Thanks,

Penny

I am from Panama City and I can tell you The Summit is an older condo unit. Many of the units are not redone and look 40 years old. If you can not see the actual unit that you will be staying in, I would be wary. There are so many other places I would rather stay... Long Beach Resorts or any of the newer condos (Grandview, Majestic, Celadon, Boardwalk) would be a much better choice. Good Luck.:goodvibes

I was going to recommend what Marymom said. I would suggest staying on the west end near peir park, The kids will like that and most of those places are newer. I am not sure if you use www.vrbo.com but that is a great source. We go down every year and that is who we use. I think you would be happy staying at the west end. There is a new movie theater, shopping, and great places to eat.

Thank you both sooo much. I really hate being the one who is finding a place for a group. I don't want to disappoint anyone.

We stayed at Emerald Beach last August and loved it, also my sister-in-law and her family always stay at Calypso and they love it there. Calypso is directly across from Pier Park which would be great with a bunch of teenagers ;)

My husband and I took 3 teens (boys 15, 16 and 17) to The Summit last year. The condo was "okay" and reasonably priced. 2 huge pools on the beach. The boys had a great time. The club next door was not a distraction at all. On Sunday nite they even had teen nite. We did go to Pier Park one evening and the boys were ready to leave after an hour. Obviously not shoppers! I could have stayed all day. There were lots of other teens at the complex as well. We wen in early June last year. If your teens are shoppers, I would stay near Pier Park as well. I tend to be very picky, and thought the complex was acceptable overall.
