Have you showed up 1 1/2 early for ADR and been seated?

The situation is I have an 8:00 & 8:20 ADR for 'Ohana on 1/19 thinking we would watch Spectro and then go eat. Well now Disney changed the time of Spectro to 9:00 and we will certainly miss it now unless someone cancels and earlier time.

I was wondering if anyone has showed up 1 1/2 early for a ADR and been seated. It's the only thing I can think to do..... other than call Disney Dining non-stop!

We've showed up about an hour early before and were seated. I'd give it a try!

Don't try to go at 6:30. Go in at 4:45 pm and cross your fingers and toes. That is honestly your best bet.

i agree w/buffalo gal... we had 7:30 adrs for CM one time and we showed up just as the restaurant opened and they were able to accomodate us... by 6pm they were turning people away!

We have twice showed up for ADRs more than an hour early. Both were Epcot restaurants. Each time I was very polite, explained that we were very tired and wondered if there was any way that they could fit us in early. At Rose and Crown we were seated almost immediately. At Alfredo's we had to wait about 30 minutes, but we did not have to wait any longer than other people who came at the same time.

I know this is only 2 weeks away, but did you try to change the time? All they can do is say no.

1) The answer depends on the the question of why two ressies?
2) If you have two due to the size of your group, the answer is "probably not".
3) If you have a small group, go at 4:30pm for a "maybe". (But, why then have two ressies?)

I have 2 ADR's because I first made the 8:00 ADR, after thinking about it a couple days I thought we would be hard pressed to watch Spectro at 7:00 and make it to the 8:00 ADR so I called and made one for 8:20...thought I cancelled the 8:00 but I guess I didn't. Now Spectro is at 9:00 so neither ADR is going to work for us. We are a small party of 3.

Never thought of just asking if I could change my ADR time..... I've been calling 4 times a day with no luck. But I am definetly going to ask if I can just change my current ADR. Good idea, even if it doesn't work!!!

We went to our lunch seating at 50s Prime Time about an hour and a half early. We were done with the park, I had a injury that was bothering me but we were hungry. We had to wait almost an hour to be seated. We were two adults, no kids. They fit us in just like a walk up.

If youa re gonig to be at that park, check in as soon as you can and ask. That's about the only thing you can do.

We tried arriving early for both our Ohana and CG reservations over Christmas and were unable to be seated either time. At first, I was understanding -- because it was the holidays and I expected the restaurants to be busy. However, when we were seated, we found there to be empty tables every time -- even at places like Le Cellier.

If they have walk ups available, otherwise..no.

I had the same problem in October. I got there right at 5 when they opened, my adr was for 7pm, but the kids were hungry. Anyway, they told me they could not seat me early, and the earliest I would get in would be 6:30. I have been at other times though, & it was not a problem. You could always eat at Kona if you heart is not set on 'Ohana, if they say no.

If you're speaking about my 2 reservations, I politely dissagree. I'm not selfish and already explained why I have two. I will cancel one and keep the other if I can't get an earlier time. I haven't cancelled yet because I was waiting to see if anyone spoke up and wanted one ( I have another post where I offered to exchange either one of the ADRs for an earlier one).

It's odd that they would even let you make 2 under the same phone number for the same restaurant in that time frame. We once couldn't decide what restaurant we wanted and they wouldn't let us make 2.

I wonder why you would only cancel only one if they can't give you the earlier time? Why wouldn't you just cancel one now? I am clearly easily confused and am gonna blame it on baby brain, lol!

Edited to add: Nevermind, I see you were trying to give the other one to someone else. I didn't know you could do that. Learn something new every day!
