Have you seen the price increases for lightning lane!?

Whoa. And it stinks because it’s not like we could have purchased them cheaper in advance.
We still have to wait at least 7 days prior to trip to purchase.

I just saw this!! That's crazy! $35 for animal kingdom is WILD. Do we know if this is just part of the annual price increases? Or is Disney expecting humongous crowds? We'll be there then and I'm hoping it's not going to be insanely crowded like the price seems to suggest

Oh wow. This has me rethinking 2026 big time. I had planned to upgrade to AP's on our Dec trip to squeeze in 3 trips on them, but the increase for MK alone?? And this isn't even Christmas pricing.

Halloween? Hopefully the prices will go back down, but I suspect this will be the "new" cost through the holidays- if not more!

The day before is still cheaper. I don't think they are expecting big crowds, I just think that's the day they chose to start the price increases.

This is a hot take, but I think LLMP needs to cost more. It's a huge benefit, and it only works if it's limited. I'd MUCH rather pay $10 more for LLs that work and are available. If too many people buy it, you aren't getting value out of it because LLs won't have good availability and when you get one, you'll still have a bit of a wait.

The Defunctland documentary on FastPass is the best at explaining this and the complicated history behind it.

Honestly no idea why the prices jump so drastically that day and they're almost double for that same Wednesday in 2024 so no history there as to why the price is suddenly so high!

I'll compare year to year here for the last Wednesday in October. 2025 will be in red. 2024 will be in green.

Magic Kingdom: $45 $24
Epcot: $37 $18
Hollywood Studios: $39 $20
Animal Kingdom $35 $17

Hoping it's somehow an error and not a sign of things to come! We'll know more tomorrow when prices for Nov 1st are published.

Concur, looking at the historical data this time of year is elevated but not max-elevated. This is a very big increase. Anyone going over Christmas needs to way up that LL budget because if this what busy prices looks like, packed-busy prices are going to be eye watering.

It could just be that they are expecting bigger crowds that day. I wouldn't be really concerned they are raising the base prices unless the following days all keep having high prices going forward

  • MNSSHP on 28th, 30th, and 31st. So the 29th will be the last full MK day before the Halloween decorations get removed as well as the only full MK day in a stretch of 4 days, including Halloween day.
  • 29th is also BOTH an extended hours day at HW Studios AND Moonlight Magic at Animal Kingdom. So a great day to go to the park if you are onsite deluxe/DVC or live nearby as a DVC member.

Blatantly obvious isn't it? Because they believe the demand is there.
I'm not convinced that's the reason. Why would they jump them drastically in the middle of the week on a non holiday?

You are welcome to your opinion but please don't tell the rest of us we should understand this sudden jump as we're all here discussing it so no, it's not 'blatantly obvious'.
