Have you seen the new Tron-o-rails? **Pic on Post 18**

If you don't find the Tron-o-Rail awesome, then something is wrong. This shot was taken by Diser TestTrackBoy and is just absolutely beautiful:

It's ugly, plain and simple. It's ugly. These guys sit around the board room table in brain storming sessions not considering that many of the things at Disney are scacred and shouldn't be touched. The monorail is one of them. As the commercial said, they should be sitting around now in a Blame Storming session, because this was truly a bad idea.

That's your opinion. Others of us love the new monorail (emphasis on the singular, not plural - they only wrapped ONE monorail and it is only on the Epcot loop - all of the other monorails are normal and all of the MK loop monorails are the normal look). This is the best monorail decoration they've done - certainly better than Stitch licking your window (advertising for a movie) or the Celebrate balloons (advertising for a marketing campaign). I'd be happy if they wrapped all of the monorails in a full color wrap (minus the movie advertising once it is done) instead of white with just a stripe. And yes, I'm a huge monorail fan. I have the t-shirt, the ride loop in my iPod, and sometimes use the "Por favor mantenganse alejado de las puertas" as a ringtone.:thumbsup2

Have you ever seen the Monorail at Disneyland? It's awesome and futuristic looking, just like the Tronorail and just like Walt wanted them to look.

What a gorgeous photo of Flower and Garden!!! Now if we can only Photoshop out that horrendous Tronorail and put a regular Monorail in (or better yet a Mark VII from Disneyland), it would be frame-worthy.

It's an amazing picture. Really. Gorgeous. I'm in awe (and jealous) of whoever takes such wonderful pics.

But I still don't like the thing. Don't much like the looks of it. And I still REALLY don't like them using the monorail to advertise. Put up a damn billboard.

But I can live with it for a while. I just hope it goes away soon.

At least they didn't turn the castle into a motorcycle. Oop. Maybe I shouldn't give them any ideas.

We stopped traffic today just to watch one go overhead. I think they look really cool, but not really sure how I feel about it as an advertisement.

You could consider the balloons to be an advertisement for that matter. It's all synergy. Plus, the monorail is not going to influence me to see the movie one way or the other (I'm not) so I'm not sure it's effective as an advertisement either.

Just my two cents! :hippie:

I am still of the opinion that DL was opened to help promote movies. I see no problem with the movie promotion on the monorails, especially when it looks soooo cool!

I said this on another thread, but...

Las Vegas has a less tacky monorail than Disney. Seriously, less garish and less money-grubbing.

Disney tops Vegas for tackiness.:guilty::sad2:

I personally love this design. And I think it fits the theme of Epcot, quite nicely. :thumbsup2
