Have you seen the new bathing suits the women are wearing

I went to Daytona today, and just when I figured I had seen it all... I saw something today that blew my mind.

They have made a two piece bathing suit made out of seashells Yep seashells.

That's not the best part, it seem that if you spot one, and put it to your ear, you can hear her... well scream.

Thank you thank you I'm here all week.

I know I know if Jeff would have written this 40 of you would reply with... hee hee oh Jeff how cute, and Daber would say good job Ed tries but.... The most I'll get i if I'm lucky Michael and a "and just what has this to do with pins comment"

This as all my other works will die... Well at least I know Brian and Sandy will reply to it.

Reader's Digest version of my past few weeks and why I haven't been on the boards much: I'm in the middle of painting a backdrop for my photographer boss... I've never done one before. Ugh.

It's for the local high school Prom on May 1st - the background she'll be using to take the couples' photos at... the only saving grace for me is knowing that very few people seem to look at their Prom photos very often over the years!

Okay, so considering I've never painted something like this before (I've spent the past 20 years doing computer graphics, what can I say...) I am satisfied with what I've done as far as the natural stuff goes (trees, grass, leaves, etc.) However, I quickly realized that my perspective skills are pretty... um, shall I say, abysmal... I have to paint an octagonal gazebo. <sigh> Add to that the fact that I can only work on it while both Bonnie & Kellie are in school (and Kellie is in kindergarten only in the afternoons...) we're talking a whole lot of days but not much time each day spent actually painting... lots of setup and cleanup involved each day. Ugh.

So, thank you, Eddie - I really need a good laugh this week!

Sandy back in the late 70's I took a large canvas mounted it on the floor, poured paint all over it, then me and 20 or so my friends played slip and slide on it.

I turned it in the the local art show, calling it life in motion, and got 4th place out of 50 or so entries.

True story... so what does that tell you about art.

Get the girls and some paint, and go have fun in the back yard.

Ahhh this harkens me back to my Art School days and studying Botticelli's "Venus on the Half-Shell", aka "The Birth of Venus"

Actually it really harkens me back to more recent history when I wore just the same thing as those girls on the beach. Those shells were uncomfortable and scratchy, but the looks that I got...let me tell you it was worth it; and it kept the others on their side of the cell.
