Well, it's cheap so I guess if you were just looking for something to do to kill time it couldn't hurt. Personally for me though, the idea of holding flash cards in front of a babies face sounds almost sad. Babies just want US IMO! I read to mine from birth, see no problem with that, but holding up a flash card and trying to get them to read it seems kinda weird. How would a mom KNOW that her baby can read unless they are speaking clearly? I would think yuppies would eat this stuff up! Why not just read easy books and have some fun toys??? We also have the dvd player in our burb, how about some educational videos like Baby Einstein??? When ours were young we just listend to music like Raffi and easy books on tape (mostly Disney!) None of mine were reading prior to Kindergarten, but they are all bookworms now!

I didn't realize this was for babies..i assumed it was for a little older(3,4 yo) i guess it didn't look at it good enough...lol
I think the cd part would be ok to do but the flashcards are pointless i think for a baby.
