First time NOT renting at MCO, looking for feedback on renting from the Car Care Center.

Is it worth it to utilize National's Emerald Isle at this location?
We can get a cheaper rate w/out it. TIA.

We've rented here for 3 years in a row now, I think, and I find it very easy. We love to take advantage of ME, then we check in, when we get to our room, I call the location's pick up #, and they ask what time would you like to be picked up, I usually say the next pick up time (I think they're every half hour), and I leave the troops at the hotel and pick up the car-well van. I am not an emerald member or anything, but have never encoutered more than a 5-10 minute wait. I give them my ressie (printed at home), they give me the keys, and thats it, back to the hotel. I have always gotten very good rates last minute, you can book online now, then modify it if you find a better discount...HTH

:thumbsup2 yes, just what I needed to know, thanks! we always rent at the airport but I hated using alamo at MCO this last time. plus I want to try ME. :goodvibes

we are trying the ccc for the first time as well next month. From what I read they don't have a EA there..you check in with everyone else, so hoping the lines are not too long!

we have picked up a couple cars there and never had more than one person in line ahead of us and we got a free upgrade both times

Hi,
For National, did you still get to pick your car? I'm not worried about a wait at all, just wondering if you still get the Emerald Aisle perk of picking any car in your category? Does anyone know?

Congrats on the upgrade, that's always nice.

No, you can't choose any car. You will be given the car category that you book. You would still get the other perks of EA, meaning complimentary additional driver from the same household... etc.

I utilized the upgrade coupon when i went so i could get a full sized car.

You don't have to use the EA corp ID to access EA perks though. Just book online using your EA number. Go to mousesavers to check out the good corp ID's. I found the Car & Driver code to be really good.

But I find booking for car at CCC quite painless, and it can be cheaper too. When I booked at Xmas, the airport was pricing at $600/week. At the CCC I was able to book with upgrade coupon for $250/week.
