Have you received an AP discount on your room with a Power Pass?

This is a topic on the Rate & Date for 2005 Thread, and I thought it might be easier to keep it a separate topic.

Please post your experiences with securing an AP discount on your room with your Power Pass.

We had friends who got the AP rate with a Power Pass with no problem for RPR Club Oct. 28 - Nov. 1, 2004.

I think what Loews and the hotels say about the Power Pass and what actually happens are two different things, so I'm looking for first-hand actual check-ins only.

We booked with the regular pass and nobody even looked when we got there!!!

Just an FYI, it might be worth it to get a regular pass anyway, we really made out on the discounts shopping and dining.

bump - anyone else? i managed a very go0d APH rate in Feb 2005, but have not yet bought the pass. Just wondering if I should buy the power pass and take my chances. if they tell me I need the full annual pass, will they let me upgrade at that time?
