I've been a member for three years now. I've never ordered more towels, but I'm curious...I read all the time on the boards that people have ordered more towels, but have never been actually charged for them. So do you think they're just really flexible on this rule or what? (hoping DVC isn't reading this thread, no charge is a good thing :) )

We ordered extra towels last year at OKW because there were seven of us in a 2-bd. The nice Mousekeeper brought us a HUGE stack of towels - many more than just two extra "sets" - about 10 minutes after I called. We were perfectly willing to pay, but I checked later and never found a charge. I think the charge may sometimes just get lost in the cracks.

We sometimes order extra towels (especially if there are 4 of us in a studio). Sometimes I've been charged and other times not.

I don't mean to be a "thread stealer", but how much *is* the charge anyway?

We called and weren't charged either. BUT, many times we just asked one of the housekepping ladies in the hallway, and they have always been polite and given us anythiing we wanted.

I've also gotten extra towels from the very nice Mousekeepers, and not intentionally, and I didn't take them from the cart either :rotfl:

I was asking/or trying to tell a Mousekeeper at VWL once something about towels and she gave me some extras. would have paid for them, but don't think I was asking for extras, but I didn't turn them down either.

:earseek: Ashamed to say that, only when staying in a studio, I've "hidden" any clean extra ones we may have on trash and towel day, so that gives us a few extras for the remainder of the trip.

Please no flames -

A nice tip to mousekeeping is all we paid.

I paid for step-MIL's towels! We were staying in a 2bdrm with them at BCV in August. (for the last time I might add) She's very snooty and demanding when it comes to service. We weren't in the room 5 minutes before she was calling Mousekeeping about stuff and complaining that the room was falling apart. Only thing I noticed was the couch was getting a little dingy. Anyway, I tried to tell her that extra towels were not really necessary, and I would be happy to wash hers when I did my laundry. Not that I cared about her ordering the towels, but I it bothers me when she acts like she's royalty. Anyway, she got her towels, and I got the charge b/c we put our card on the room so we could get internet service.

OMG, maybe my DH is related to your DH :rotfl2:

We have paid for extra towels during a number of trips.
We called Housekeeping and asked for 2 more hand towels because the numberr of bath towels matches the number of people you can have in a unit, but the number of hand towels doesn't. All we've wanted is 2 more hand towels, but to get that, we have had to get a whole towel "package" for $6.
