I haven't been on a reality show, but I have been on two game shows -- 21 in 2000 and Crosswords in 2008. I didn't win either (too bad, 21 could have been BIGGGGGG money), but it was a lot of fun. I've tried out for several others, and would really like to get on another and have one more chance to put my extensive store of useless knowledge to work. Anybody else? OR know of anyone?

A co-worker was on Jeopardy, did really well too (one a few games), he had a great time!

While on my honeymoon, we stopped in L.A. and went to US. I was asked to be on 'Street Smarts' Don't know if you remember the show but I was one of the "street savants"

Street Smarts was a United States game show that features two in-studio contestants trying to predict the outcome of interviews of people that were found on the street. The show aired in syndication from October 2, 2000 to September 23, 2005, hosted by Frank Nicotero.

In the early 70's my mil was on a show and won big. She still has the dinning room set, the bedroom set and sewing machine she won. She also won a sports car and a year supply of veal cutlets....lol it took him along time to eat veal cutlets again. I can never remember the name of the show, it was way before I knew my dh ( i was only 5 in 1970). when she talked about it she said she had a great time

My older sister was on the Bozo the Clown show when she was little. Sort of a game show, she won some stuff.

A family friend was on Wheel of Fortune. He won some money but wasn't the final person. We got his year supply of kitty litter since he didn't have a cat and we did!

Lucky girl! Did she play the bucket game? I wanted to so bad when I was little.

A friend of ours was on Jeopardy. He did OK till he missed a question on religion. I would love to be on Deal or No Deal or 1 vs 100.:yay:

My brother made it to the final round of teen jeopardy at the try-outs - he passed the test and then the next level, but down to the final 3 to fly to California they picked someone else.

I remember he was 15 or so at the time and I thought it was so cool how close he came to being on the show.

My cousins & I went to Bozo the Clown. My female cousin who is 4 yrs older than me was picked to eat a donut on a string & won, can't remember what the prize was, but I was so jealous.

My dental hygentist was on The Price is Right about 4 yrs ago. She won a new car. She kept it for a year, then sold it for one that better suited her.

I knew someone several years ago who was on The Price is Right. She made it onstage and won a car. She made it to the Showcase Showdown but did not win. She said that she understands why people always look a bit confused though. She said the studio was pretty small and the audience was very loud. It was hard to hear the announcer. That is why people always ask for clarification on the prizes. I am not sure of all of the specifics, but she worked out some sort of deal with a local car dealership so that they took the car and she received money.

I was a finalist to be on a teen game show that never got off the ground when I was 15....

a friend of a friend who lives in my city won big on the Price Is Right last year, she won a car and trips in the show case show down

I was at a bar last year there was a party for a man who went on Wheel of Fortune, he won money, but not the big prize. He paid for beers though!:thumbsup2

I was on Wonderama when i was a kid! My aunt was on Jeopardy and did really well.

I was on MTV's "Remote Control" when I was in college. I beat out about 500 people to get on the show, but I didn't end up winning. It was kind of cool, though, because MTV would show the reruns, and I would get recognized at Penn State sometimes that year.

A Few

I had a cousin who made it on stage on The Price Is RIght. She won a pair of very expensive bicycles, and a couch. She was playing for a car. It was the game where you place the numbers 0-9, and hope that you don't get the piggy bank.

My MIL was on Jeopardy before I met DH. She did poorly, finished in negative numbers.

A former boss's wife was on Who wants to be a Millionaire. The original one w/ Regis. She won $250,000.

a close friend of mine was on Wheel of Fortune years back,,,she was the big winner and also won the bonus round...her prize was a Jeep!
My sister was also on Bozo the Clown, on the Bozo Buckets,,, she missed on bucket #3.

My partner was on the revival of Pyramid hosted by Donny Osmond about 8 years ago.

His celebrity partners were Doug and Hildi from Trading Spaces. He made it to the bonus round twice, but didn't get the big win ($10,000 for winning the bonus round once, or $25,000 for winning it twice). He ended up with $2900 and a trip to Cabo San Lucas.

On the first bonus round, he didn't get the win because Doug gave an illegal clue. On the second round, he missed one category. Hildi's clues were "steam pipes" and "heart chambers." The correct answer was "things with valves" but he couldn't think of it. He called me immediately afterwards, gave the clues to me, and I guessed the right answer. So did several other people he spoke to. I think this provides proof of the extra pressure that game show contestants are under.

A friend went on The Price Is Right about 15 years ago, and won a car. She had a Price is Right license plate on the front, as she was very proud of that car. I don't know if she won any money besides the car.
