As per the title.
I wondered how many have been successful in extending the one year limit to use your SWA - TTF funds.
Did you request the extention right away or wait until closer to the expiry date?
Thanks

I just called Customer Service this week for TTF expiring on July 28th. They are sending me a voucher good for six months. You have to book, pay, and travel then send in your receipt and voucher to get a refund of your TTF. No ability to use them when booking. Seems fair since it is my fault I didn't use the funds before expiration.

Here's my question: I have a credit that expires on 9/12/06, but I won't be flying out until 9/20/06. Like a dumb, you know what, I hadn't requested the extension yet. Just got a ding rate that will save me about $60. Do I go ahead and purchase, then call them Monday to get the voucher and hopefully they will refund me after the trip? Is this too risky???

Did they give you 6 months from 7/28?

Thanks poohstx...
So, to be clear. You waited until now (about a month and half) before your TTF expires....then called them and simply requested a voucher (do you have to explain anything or just say that you will not be travelling within the one year period ?). Then you book your flight, pay for it up front, travel and send in the receipt plus voucher for a chargecard refund?

Yes, that's pretty much it. I had the TTF confirmation written down but not the expiration date...I actually booked a flight and paid for it for July. I stumbled upon the expiration date when I tried to book an August trip and it stopped me due to the expiration. I haven't received the vouchers yet but I'm remembering they were good for six months. I think what happened to me was I used them, then rebooked because of a DING! fare and they sat there for a while...if I see the DING! at work I usually pay for it since I don't carry the TTF info with me.

That would be 6 months from the time you called to request the vouchers or expiration of the TTF?......
Oh, and one more thing. Is the voucher only giving you credit(more TTF) ....or is it going against your CC?
Thanks ..again :goodvibes
