Have you had any experience with a Combi Savvy Soho or Sport stroller?

I am looking for the perfect stroller (without spending $300 on a McClaren), that has a decent size basket, reclines, is easy to fold, small once it folds and lightweight. I was thinking about the Combi Savvy Soho or Combi Savvy Sport stroller. From the pictures I've seen, the basket under both these models seems to be big enough. I have not seen one in person. The descriptions state they are light weight and fold up to a very small size.

Currently we have a "Jeep" stroller that folds up to about the size of a full size Jeep Wrangler 4x4, and weighs just as much, so I am looking for a stroller that folds smaller, and is lighter than what we have, so I can easily carry it on the busses.

Any comments/feedback would be appreciated.

I had a Combi Savvy that broke at WDW. Twice. I finally broke down and bought a Maclaren Techno (my 4th stroller). It still works like a champ 3 years later with my 45 pound 5 year old. My Combi would have simply collapsed.

What model did you have?

I had the Travel Savvy. I literally broke 4 strollers in 2 years before I bought my Maclaren. We travel a lot, so it was worth it. My DD still uses her stroller, but only in the evenings at WDW.

I had the Travel Savvy as well, but my experience was much better than the other poster. While I agree that the Macs I've had are a better stroller, if you don't want to pay the $$$ for one, you might be have with the Combi.

What I liked best about it was the fact that it could be folded and then stand up without me hanging onto it.

Plus, I got to order one in a cool color combo so that it was never lost in the sea of navy blue strollers.

I used it with my son when he was a little older and near the weight limit. It was fine for us for that time period. The only thing I would have liked different would to have a longer handle on --I am 5'6" and it was fine for me, DH (who is 6') had a harder time pushing it.

HTH!

I have the combi savvy z. we had two of them and they are what we used in disney two years ago. mostly we used them separately, but sometimes we connected them to act as a double stroller. It si a great travel stroller, as it is light, yet fairly rugged. It reclines unlike a simple umbrella stroller and it has a nice sized basket. It is a it pricely, but you can often find them second hand.

HI! I just bought the combi savvy dx this month! It is GREAT! We were looking for same things you are w/o spending $300! I ordered online at www.combi.com and got great deal ... travel holder (looks like fanny pack actually) and also a travel bag for $119 ... FREE shipping! :) It is soooo lightweight and has cool carrying strap!
We used it this weekend at a large shopping center and it was so easy to steer, even just one handed while looking at stuff. The bag at the bottom has elastic band or something, so it stretches to accomodate bags, etc. I can't wait to try it out in May at WDW. Good Luck!

That's another thing. The Combi started out really easy to steer, but after a couple of months it steered like a Mack Truck. My Maclaren, however, still steers easily even with one hand.
