Have you ever won a trip to WDW?

Now that I am back from our nine-day trip I am hooked on WDW and can't wait to go back. However, we can't afford it for at least 4 more years! So, I am hunting the web for sweepstakes with Disney prizes. Has anyone out there ever won a trip? I see contests all the time (McDonalds, cereal boxes, chocolate chip bags) etc. but have never know anyone who has actually won. Are there any websites that list sweepstakes with travel prizes?

I won a 7 day cruise on The Magic. It was awesome. I just filled out an entry form at a local furniture chain. And everybody said the same thing, "I never thought anybody ever won those things" Well, I did, and it is probably the only way I will have ever afforded a Disney cruise. So enter, enter, enter. You never know! :D

When I was in college, I won a trip for a week to WDW from a local radio station. It was to promote "The Living Seas". We stayed at the Hilton and EVERYTHING was payed for, including tips. The trip was spectacular! :)

A tip somebody shared with me, get a PO Box then drop your name in every box you can find. Once you win or decide to stop trying cancel the box and leave no forwarding address - you'll save yourself from junk mail hell. Most the entries are offered to get active mailing addresses then sold to list after list.

My wife won a trip during WDW's 20th Birthday celebration from USA Today newspaper. They gave away 20 trips a week for 4 or 5 weeks and she was lucky enough to be one of the winners.

It included a 5 day / 4 night stay at the Poly, roundtrip airfare and transfers, 4 day park hoppers, every meal, and tickets for free recreational activities such as water sprites, sailboats, etc. This was a trip for 4 people.

We added a few days onto the trip at the end and stayed at CBR.

I must say it was fabulous to experience Disney that way and only cost us about $800 in income taxes for the total trip plus the extra few days at CBR.

We feel very fortunate to have won a trip like that, so go for it! It CAN be done!

It was for WDW 15th Birthday Celebration. A radio station in Pittsburgh was doing a promo and you had to be the 10th caller when they played a certain song or something like that. A friend I worked with and I were taking turns calling and we said that whatever we won we would split. Mostly they were giving away money, but what we didn't realize was this one particular week they were giving away a Disney vacation. It was a 4 day cruise (back when they had the Big Red Boat)and 3 days at WDW for 4 people. All expenses paid - airfare, hotel, transfers, meals, park passes, etc. The only thing we had to pay was the port charge for the cruise and any alcoholic drinks that we had.

Usually when we called we would get a busy signal so when I called and the phone actually rang I thought I had dialed the wrong number and almost hung up to try again, but then I figured I would hang on, if it was a wrong number what did I have to lose anyway! Well, talk about speechless!!! I was so shocked when told I won. When they put me on hold so they could get my info, my friend thought I was joking and almost hung up the phone!! I almost broke her arm to keep her away from it!! LOL

We both had kids at the time, but since the trip was for 4 and since we could only take 2 more we opted to take our own mothers so we wouldn't have to pick one kid over another. We had a great time!!

So, enter whatever you can, you never know you may get lucky too!!! It does happen and no one was more surprised than me!!!

Sorry this is so long, but I get excited every time I think about winning that trip! That was my first trip to WDW and I have been back many times since and when we were there in Sept we even bought into DVC so we can enjoy many more vacations there. It is our favorite vacation spot. :) ;)

Good luck!!!

Last year I won a trip from Mc Donalds, For the Mellienum (sp) celebration. We stayed at the Wilderness lodge, with Tickets, Air fair and Transpo from the airport. This was for 4 nights. We were able to extend our stay for 4 more days. It was really very nice. We had a trip already planned just after I won. So we got to go twice in 3 months. I wish we could have spread it out more, but only time we had available to travel. (had already taken kids out of school for 1 week could not take any more time. Had to go on spring break not too bad. summer was out "too hot". Like you I enter every contest. Hoping to win again ;)

a web add for two free airline tickets for a months trial of THE BUYERS PRIVILAGE. you paid 3.95 to join, but could cancel any time in that month. So,i did it! I got a booklet that gives me 7 or 8 choices of places to go from calif. to fl.to london & paris. Ok there is a little catch you need to stay in one of the 3 hotels they provide, but there is all ways a cheap choice.

I checked with my AAA travel agent and he said they are legit!!

My airfare from Oregon is very high to florida[$1059. this trip planned before i got the two free airfares]the Hotels they offer for Orlando are Hyatt Orlando$159[adjacent to Disney parks] or $149. depending on dates,
Westgate Lakes $129.year 'round[probibly a condo sale tour] and Doubletree Orlando Resort $159 [! year'round[1 mile from disney parks] our required stay is 8 days[$1192,at $149. a night,10 at all stars is $1224.]

So,all in all not bad! But I can choseOrlando,Fort Lauderdale,San Francisco,San Diego[4 days],Phoenix,Hawaii[8 days,4 islands choices as low as $190 Royal Kona Resort,Hawaii],New Orleans,Acapulco,Cancun Mexico, Las Vegas,London or London&Paris or Paris.

Since we bought AP's this will make it possible to return to WDW this year!
