Have you ever watched a "big" sporting event while at Disney?

We were down in Orlando when MSU Spartans beat the Gators in the Final Four. We quietly celebrated, of course!!


If Pistons lose tonight we definetly plan on watching the BIG game Thursday in Orlando!!!

If you have watched a "big" game, where do you watch it? In your hotel room? In the lobby? Or somewhere else?

Yep - my 1st trip to WDW, the Broncos finally made it to the Suer Bowl. Awesome wife that I am, I stayed in the room w/ DH & watched the game.

Watched teh Eagles Monday night win in Green Bay last season. Can't believe I didn't wake eevryone up when McNabb led teh birds down teh field wit time running out.

In february of '02 the winter Olympics were going on...we watch every night at the ESPN club (staying at Boarwalk) we saw Ono skate...it was AWESOME

We watched the final game when the Wings won the Stanley Cup at ESPN a couple of years ago. It was ALMOST as good as being there!!

For me it was a big series...I watched the Cardinals Sweep the Diamondbacks in the 2002 NLDS at the ESPN CLub with my dad who came down to help me move back to Kentucky. We're both HUGE cards fans and that was quite a bonding experience we shared.

Oh and I renmember watching the my beloved St. Louis Rams lose the Super Bowl to the NE Patriots I watched it with friends at Vista Way (CP housing)

The Ohio State-Miami BCS Championship game from my 2-bd cabin on The Magic, New Years Day, 2003.

I would watch a WNBA finals game there, I suppose. Not much comes between me and the WNBA. But, I wouldn't give my WDW time up for a regular season game or for any other sport.
I bet it would be fun to watch a big game in WDW with a group of people though!

I haven't watched a big event from Disney, but I watched a GLI (college hockey tournament) game from a sportsbar on the beach in Kaanapali, Maui

Hmmmm, let's see.

Stayed in the room to watch the New York Yankees beat the Atlanta Braves in game 6 of the 1996 World Series!

Went to the ESPN club to watch the Denver Broncos beat the Atlanta Falcons in the 1999 Super Bowl. Didn't get in until the 3rd quarter after waiting in line for the first 3/4 of the game!

Watched some of the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney Australia throughout our trip.

I'm sure that there are others. We've been to Disney quite a bit during all different seasons.

We were in WDW January 2000 during Super Bowl weekend. That was the year it was in Atlanta, and thankfully the trip home wasn't bad because we had to change planes in Atlanta. DW and I just got a pizza and watched it in our room at Dixie Landings.

One thing I remember about that trip is that we kept seeing all these bright yellow Pontiac Azteks. I think that was also the year it was introduced and some rental car company must have had a ton of them.

I watched the Superbowl at ESPN on the Boardwalk! It was in 2003 when Tampa Bay beat Oakland. It was soooo much fun!!!

I tried watching a basketball game once, but the sexy man in the laundry room made me watch Lethal Weapon instead. It wasn't a big game, and I like Lethal Weapon, so I didn't get mad.

Yep, E, Jason wouldn't let me watch a basketball game. I think he could tell I really wanted to watch the movie anyway. I can't even remember which LW movie it was though.

watching the playoffs between the yankees and Boston last October at ESPN while waiting for PS at Flying Fish. It was a disgusting display of imature idiots. The Boston Fans were so vulgar to the Yankee Fans, it was quite supprising. they were actually threatening to hurt the Yankee Fans. We were with some clients of mine who thought it would be a lot of fun to watch the game from there. It was very sad.

I guess next time I should go to the Laundry Room! Maybe there will be some sexy men there!!!!
