Have you ever seen the girls name Amy, spelt with an IE (AMIE) before?

I have read it as Amiee, but I haven't personally read it as Aime. :] I personally like AMY! Haha!

I had a coworker a few years ago that spelled her daughter's name Amie.

I remember for years wishing my name was spelled Amie. I think I even asked my mom to change it. I thought Amy was just too plain.

Though now I find it strange when people ask how to spell my name. How hard is A M Y?

I've seen it almost every way imaginable because I am an Amy.

Amyee was probably the most out there I've seen.

Well, I am an Amie and yes, my mother used the french word for "friend". As much as it is nice to stand out, it has been a pain as well. When I get things in the mail, they are sometimes addressed to "Annie" or "Arnie". The AMY spelling would have been easier. But, if the spelling of my name is the biggest problem in my life...I've got it pretty good .

I have an AMY, but when we were in Epcot in December, we met a CM at one of the attractions who had her name spelled "Heime" and when she saw my daughters name on her jacket, said "you and I have the same name but my mom spelled it different". I would of never guessed it!
