I have a HUGE boo-tay spider that lives in the wall here at the store. Anytime you walk by the wall, nothing happens. You VACUUM by the wall, and this silly spider comes running out and attacks the vacuum. His front legs are reared up and he's quite frightening.

Anyone else have a spider do this?

If I were you I would start up that vacuum, have the hose attachment ready and suck the thing up and get it over with...he is on a suicide mission anyway.....YUCK!!:scared:

Hahahaha :) I tell a lot of customers about the spider, but almost no one believes me. Once in awhile I have to rev up the vacuum to prove it and I've seen tons of GUYS who scream and run off.

Ummmmm... no  , but that would be a sign to move out, for me, at least! :earseek:

The biggest spider I've ever had the honor of battling was about the size of a large 25 cent gumball, pink and white with hard, jointed legs. She lived in our garage for a summer because we were all too scared to move her! That fall I found out she decided to hibernate and nest in my baby's backpack, you know the one I just put into the van for the Halloween party at my son's school? Yep, I hear from the back seat, "Mom, there is a spider in the van..." :earseek:

I did manage to NOT run away but actually get her out of the van and then run her over with it. I found her nest in the backpack (insert many heebeejeebees in here). Ok, done... can't talk about it anymore! :(

Signed,
The biggest arachnophobe on the East Coast!

My vaccum just went flying out the front door.

There is no need for that any more.

I will use a broom... ahh, how do spiders feel about brooms?

Stepharoonie~ You are the bravest person in the world.

i saw a big spider one day in the laundry room. i droped a cap to the soap. i picked the cap up i had the ironing board fell on my head. my mom killed it with my dads shoe

i'm aaafraid of spider small or big i don't care.

This reminds me of the story when my daughter was 5 yrs. old (she's 18 now). She had gone outside to play and I had to check on my laundry inside. All of sudden I hear this blood-curdling scream from outside in my daughter's voice. I see her running past the back patio door, still screaming. Of course, I think someone is after her or something really terrible has happened, so I go running out the back door after her. She runs up to me and tells me a 5 foot spider is running after her! I look around and see NO spider, so I think she's being hysterical. Then I go to our front porch and lo and behold, there is a huge spider that has spun a web from our second story roof to the middle of our columns. Did I mention, IT WAS HUGE! I knocked the web down and killed the spider (I know, poor defenseless spider, but it HAD chased my DD!). We still get these huge spiders! BTW, it wasn't 5 feet tall, only about 5 inches, which is big for a spider!

The spider is actually pretty cool. I freaked my coworker out with it one day, since he just did NOT believe it was there. I think it's one of those wolf spiders that hang out and feel the vibrations of something. I swear to you though, I have never seen a spider rear up like that with its legs up in the air.

Did I mention that this building it also supposed to be haunted?! :scared: I wonder if there are any ghost spiders running around...

Have you ever seen a spider attack your vacuum??

Remember the old Tilt a Whirl rides. Imagine the fun this little guy would have when my bagless windtunnel vacuum sucks him up and allows him to spin until there is no visable life left in his hairy legs. Weeeeee.....

Thanks a bunch jipsy, for the nightmares I am gonna have tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nope, I can't say I've seen one attack the vacuum, but I have attacked a few spiders with the vacuum. ::yes::

What a hoot,Lanshark!! Thanks ever so,Jipsy!! If I had that vacuum,he woulda been looong gone.

This is such a scary thread:scared1:

We don't have the same spiders over here in the UK, but we have some huge ones where we live and last summer whilst my DH was away on business is took me 2.5 hours to just pluck up courage to whack one with the broom from my bedroom ceiling. I tell you, if it wasn't for the fact that my DD (only 10!) was fast asleep, I'd have been getting her up to move the blasted thing

They make me :faint: and as for the piccie from Jipsy - gee, thanks a bunch - what the heck kind of spider is that thing:earseek:

Videotape it! That's quirky enough to send to a contest!

Have you ever thought of recording it for Americas Funniest videos?? Prize is $10,000 that is a real nice Disney Trip you could take with the money. I am sure it would win.
