Simple question this week, have you ever rented a boat from the marina at Fort Wilderness? Pontoon boat, the little Sea Racer boats, a sailboat back in the days when they used to rent them, etc...

We've always thought about it....but when it comes right down to renting one, we can never justify the cost.

We've rented the sea racers.....and I still prefer to call them water mice! :goodvibes Oh, and I haven't checked lately...but I'm hoping they will still have the weekly rate so when dd9 is old enough, she can have it for the week! :goodvibes

DH and the kids always rent the mice. I have never been on one. I use that time as my peace and quiet time. :cool1:

We rented a Pontoon boat the day we where leaving. It was the last thing we did at the Fort before we drove home. It was my Fathers day present from the kids. We used our Disney Visa money to pay for it. I enjoyed it very much and will do it again next year.

We rented Sea Racers DS18 and DD16 last summer.

I've even sailed my personal boat in Bay Lake. Back in the 80's the local Hobie Cat Fleet used to hold regattas on the lake. We were able to bring our own boats in. I think the last one was held in 1991.

Rented the little "mice" boats. Those are a lot of fun. I'd actually like to buy one to have at home as well...I wonder what Disney does with the old ones?

Never rented before, but we plan to this summer. Maybe even a fishing excursion.

I've rented the water mice, but never from the Fort. I've always gotten them from the Poly or the Contemporary.

We always rented the water mice. We wanted to do so this past week but they closed at 5 and either it was raining or we couldnt get there in time to rent them with the AAA discount for 90 minutes.

I said no because I've never rented from the fort, but have rented the mice from the Poly Marina.

My husband and kids have rented the mouse sprites from the WL marina. We've also rented the pontoon boats. Last year they only rented once for an hour and a half. We had a coupon for the extra half hour free. They weren't offering the family plan promotion that they had offered in years past. THAT was a great deal. Some $200.00 for the week for your entire party..for as many times as you wanted to rent the bikes, sprites, and even the pontoon boats. Kids had a blast. Too bad they don't offer it any longer. I believe I've read here that FW also had this promo at one time.

I voted no. We never have time for anything but the parks and the rental fees are ridiculous for the boats! At home we have a lake nearby and don't see the attraction of the lake at Disney. jmho:)
