Have you ever purchased a Disney Package and then later upgraded to DVC AP Tickets?

Here is a question as I ponder the latest free dining offer. Have any of you puchased a Disney Package, like free dining or the Buy 4 Get 3 deals that include Base MYW Tickets and then after you checked in tried to upgrade the tickets to a DVC Annual Pass?

Did you have any problems? Did you get full credit for the Base MYW ticket and the DVC Discount for the Annual Pass?

I am thinking about changing my plans for my upcoming August trip, but would appreciate the help from someone that has tried this before.

Thanks!

yes, we've done it two times & never a problem. You just need your DVC info & ticket. We usually do it at Epcot at guest relations. HTH:goodvibes

We did free dining a couple of years ago and I applied the one day pass to the purchase of an AP with no problem. They gave me the price I had paid as credit towards the purchase and I got the DVC discount. I did this at guest services in DTD. You need to have your blue membership card when you do it.

Thank You for the quick replies. I appreciate the help!

We just returned from Disney using a buy 4/get 3 package. (We had it planned before we bought into DVC.) I was able to apply our 7-day non-expiring Park Hoppers (only paid for 4 days!) to a DVC AP upgrade. We also ended up getting $40 back as a cash refund.

We upgraded at Guest Relations in MK, so it would lock in the full 7-day ticket price.

I had the same question! Thanks for the info!!
