Have you ever priced out a real DREAM vacation?

Tonight, out of boredom, I went to the Disney website and started trying price out my dream Disney vacation. Like a DREAM dream. 9 people, including myself; 19 days, 18 nights; day after Thanksgiving and into the first two weeks of December; 3-way split stay between the Grand Floridian, the Contemporary, and the Polynesian (6 nights each); three rooms with 3 people in each; annual passes to Disney and 4-day passes to Universal....

Not including food, transportation, souvenirs, etc.: ~$53,000

LOL!!

What's your over-the-top extravagant dream vacation to Disney World?

This part of the forum is pretty quiet, IMO. I wouldn't take it personally.

I dream and price out my dreams when I'm having a bad day. It's fun to plan out but it's staggering to see the $$$$ - coming from a solid middle class background.

I do it once in a while, usually out of boredom and because you need a plan ready when you win the lottery so you don't do crazy things ;-)

My dream trip is a Disney around the World trip, Paris, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo, San Francisco (for the Disney family museum), Anaheim, Orlando, back to Europe with the transatlantic cruise which next year very conveniently (almost) ends in Amsterdam (I live in NL). I am thinking Business/First class flights, Club Level/Concierge hotels, Deluxe Dining, VIP tours and all. I was surprised at the 'low' amount of money I needed. For 2 people about 95.000 EUR, so roughly 106.000 USD, including food, money for excursions & sightseeing in the Asian cities, local transportation, tips, etc.

This excludes saving money to take 2 months unpaid leave ;-)

Okay, it's still a small house, but it's good to know when I win the lottery (usually our jackpot starts at 7.5 Million EUR), I will have money left.

If I do an over the top WDW trip, it would be smaller than yours, 6 people for about 10-12 days in Spring and I would price it if I could find how much the presidential suites cost.

I would love to take our entire family yearly on one of Disney's grand adventures. Only 15 of us, but do one of those great trips every year. 2 weeks max, long enough to unwind, but not so long as to want to kill each other! o_O
They sound wonderful! I also love the idea of visiting Disney parks around the globe. I wonder if Walt ever imagined that?!?

I'd like to take DH and DD23 and her boyfriend for 2 weeks and do a split stay between AKL/savanna view and BWV/boardwalk view. We'd rent a vehicle so we could do both Disney stuff and other stuff in the area, like Universal and Kennedy Space Center. Not sure that we'd do the dining plan, but we'd eat wherever we wanted, and of course we'd have 10 day park hoppers! Not sure when I'd like to go.... either late October to overlap MNNSHP and F&W or in early December, so we could do the Candlelight Processional.
