Have You Ever Overheard...

...People talking Disney and wanted to jump into the conversation.
This weekend I was in line at Target and the woman in front of me started telling the cashier how she was picking up last minutes stuff for their WDW trip. I so wanted to butt in, but of course, I didnt.
Then today I was at the mall when 2 women walked by talking about the All Star Music Resort. I nudged my friend, knowing he is a Disney fan too , and whispered "Theyre talking about Disney!!!". I would have loved to have heard more.

So anyone else go crazy like this...and has anyone actually jumped into the converstaion?

LOL yes I do want to jump into the conversation. The only time I have is when I was in a Disney Store one time and this couple was going to buy park hoppers so I told them about the Dis and all the good money saving advise found on the boards.

It's funny how I can totally ignore strangers conversations, but if they say the word Disney, it's just like they're shouting out my name. No, I haven't contributed to strangers conversations about Disney.

For the folks you overhear to be discussing an upcoming Disney trip, they're obviously happy and excited! Next time this happens, speak right up and see if you don't make a great friend!

Oh that is hysterical N&P! What a small world! I often wonder if people around me are any of our local Disers. In fact I said that today about the women talking about ASMU..."I wonder if they are Disers?"
I have met a Diser that lives in the same city as me...but we met in WDW! Go figure.

I can be walking around in the mall in my own little world,hear someone say,"Disney" or "dog show" and I'm all ears!!!

I have never jumped into their conversation, but sometimes if I see soneone wearing a Disney shirt I will ask them when they were there last. And that in itself is a surprise, because normally I would never talk to someone I don't know.
(Except of course for the people on the DIS )

Yes I do jump in. A woman in line behind me at K-mart was talking about her trip and I asked her about crowds and if she needed FastPass. She said - Oh we didn't buy that. When I explained to her it was for any ticket holder her son went BESERK. He was still yelling at her when we left the store - MOOOOM we could have used FP ALL WEEK?!!!!! My son just shook his head and muttered "Disney dummies". So that is a term we use often now.

And lots of people have found that if they are wearing a Disney shirt when they checkout a book at the library that if I have time I start a Disney conversation

Oh yes, but see, I can't help myself, I jump in And if someone starts talking to me about it, forget about it.

The other night we went out to dinner and its a place that we go to at least once a week, the server came over and introduced herself and made reference to us being there before, and I jokingly said "Oh I'm Lisa, this is Matthew and Patrick" She says she knew and recognized my picture from reading the DIS SO MELISSA IF YOU ARE READING THIS.....YOU BETTER START POSTING LOL!!

Me too! I can't help myself. I usually tell them about the DIS Boards, and Deb Willis's site for help.
I did this to my friend's neighbor, and they came back and thanked me!

I have bit my tonge several times while standing in line at the Disney store, however!!
I don't want to say anything to make the CM look bad

Yup, and have even volunteered an answer a time or so when what they were discussing was a question neither of them had the answer to. Both times I got a surprised look followed by more questions.

We were at the game store the other day and a guy was in there wearing a Disney leather jacket and we got to talking. I was telling him about the Mission Space one I got for DH for Christmas and he was saying how he had seen that one...and on and on.

I LOVE talking Disney with people who are really into it.

The other day when I got my hair cut the woman was talking about how her Mom just got back form WDW and she had stayed at the AKL...so that got me talking about how much we liked it..

So many times I have been on the units in the hospital and the nurses are talking about Disney. I'm new there to begin with, so I didn't want to butt in but you don't know how bad I've wanted to.

It seems like every time I turn around, another nurse is bringing in their vacation pictures from Disney World. They don't seem to go anywhere else.

I've jumped in before. That is very strange for me because I'm so shy. I have to think about it for a while, then the Disney in my blood just comes out and I can't help it.

Always tempted but have jumped in only once. It was in the Disney Store about five or six years ago. There was a couple talking to a CM about taking a trip, but they weren't sure they would enjoy it.
