Have you ever NOT seen a famous movie -- EVER?

I have not see the Matrix or any of the sequels and my DH just loves them. I have not seen most of the "famous" horror films either such as the Exorcist, Halloween and Friday the 13th.

I've never seen Casablanca either, though I'd like to.

I've also never seen a Star Wars movie, (I went to Return of the Jedi, but fell asleep so I didn't actually "see" it)

No Lord of The Rings either or Titanic or Schindler's List. Actually, there are MANY, MANY movies I haven't seen.

I have never seen Gone With the Wind, Casablanca, ET, Ghost, or any of the Lord of the Rings movies. I am sure there are more, but those are the few that I could think of!

Never saw any of the LOTR movies, never saw Godfather II, never saw The Big Chill, my list could be endless.:o

I've seen most of the movies others have posted. Well, except for the Tolkien films, Matrix-reloaded or otherwise-I have no interest in any of those.

Though I've seen all the classics mentioned, I am surprised to see that no poster mentioned Citizen Kane-since it has been voted the best film ever made, many times over.

However, I will admit that I have never seen To Kill a Mockingbird.
Read it in high school.

Never seen a lot of these!

Citizen Kane
the Godfather Triology
Casablana
Dr. Zhivago
The Maltese Falcon
To Kill A Mockingbird
2001: A Space Odyssey
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
Goodfellas (actually, I've only ever seen one Martin Scorsese film - Taxi Driver)
Any horror classic (well, that goes for all horror!)

Luckily, my film class in college took care of a lot of other classics.

I have never seen these. Dh and I took it upon ourselves to "lock ourselves in the house and watch Gone with the Wind and I made him watch West Side story and he made me watch Godfather. He had never seen The Sound of Music until I made him watch it. I think it is good to watch the classics...if nothing else...you will get more of the jokes on Sat Night Live and other Spoof shows!

I'm glad I'm not the only that hasn't seen a ton of the classics. Most of the ones you guys have listed, I haven't seen. I am shocked by how many of you still haven't seen a Star Wars movie! I hadn't seen them until high school when we were studying the 3 originals in our AP English 3 class. By the way, that was in 1997. Now my dh and 2 ds are both Star Wars NUTS! I watch at least one of the 5 every week. You might be surprised at how good they are if you watch them. If nothing else, you could watch one as research for your next WDW trip, for Star Tours!

I'm a film student and I'm ashamed to say I have never seen Casablanca. I've seen the ending  and parts of it but never the entire film. I'll have to rent it one of these days. It's a wonderful life is another one, I always intend on watching it every Christmas, my mom tapes it practically every year and we never sit down and watch it.

I've never seen Lawrence of Arabia, A Clockwork Orange, Any of the Lord of the Ring movies, The most recent Star Wars movie, Dr Strangelove, Pulp Fiction, Men in Black (but I love the ride :p ) and lots more.

I don't watch many movies, so I'm sure I've missed more than half of the top 250.

Gone With the Wind & the Sound of Music are two that most people are usually shocked to hear.

Even worse, being a pre-teen during the Brat Pack (of the Molly Ringwald variety) era, I never saw any of those movies at the time. I saw Breakfast Club probably 10 years after it came out (on TV), and I recently watched Sixteen Candles when it was on TV. I wasn't allowed to watch them at the time, and I've never been a big movie buff. I prefer music. I have so many movie soundtracks to movies I've never seen. (Purple Rain comes to mind)

Lawrence of Arabia

One of my brothers faves, but it just does not interest me.

Love Casablanca, Dr. Zhivago...come on people...go rent those movies!!! Hey....Valentines day is coming up!
