We just got back a week ago, had a wonderful time, great room at the Dolphin with a balcony and a beautiful view, great CM interaction at several attractions, but when we got back, I was completely uninterested in talking "Disney." I felt like I was so burned out on anything Disney! I didn't even want to think about planning another Disney trip and delayed doing a trip report. Maybe because it was just so hot down there, I don't know. Crowds were almost non existent so it wasn't that.

Well, thank goodness that didn't last too long!

Now I am in planning mode again, and DH is laughing at me! I want to go back at the end of January 2005, but he is saying "no way!" Not until January 2006!

We'll just see about that! ::yes::

Hi Blondie! :wave2:

I don't think I can say I have ever had Disney burn out. It seems like we have a terrific experience every time we go. We went on the 7 night western Magic this summer followed by four nights at WDW. We are DVC owners and have been doing something "Disney" just about annually.

As much as I love Disney, I do believe it is good to expose our family to other parts of the country. When we were on the Magic, it was so nice to visit places we have never been to before. Next year, we decided to bank some and catch up on borrowed DVC points and head to Nevada, Utah, and Arizona instead. It will be fantastic even though it is not Disney.

We love Disney and I constantly visit these baords, but we feel a break and a new adventure is okay!!!!!

I have been thru Disney burn out twice. I went thru it after a trip several years ago and then I went thru it again after my trip in May. I am actually going back next month, we are staying at WDW but will be visiting Universal parks. We couldn't get a room on Universal's property, they were full. :(

I would bet on '05, Blondie, LOL. And nice TR, love the pictures, the boys are growing so and you and hubby remain ageless. Thanks.

Hi Blondie

I'll probably have Disney burn out after a year of planning for 100 band kids going to WDW next year!!! :teeth:

Hey, I have a pic just like your clipart of me and my two boys sitting on that very fountain!!!:bounce:

::yes:: I had burnout a couple years ago. After going there every year and working there for a summer, it was nothing new. So I took some time off - didn't hit the parks when I went there for a wedding, took a Disney cruise. And that made finally taking my DH last Christmas all the more sweeter. :teeth:

Nope, not yet.......as you know we were there last week to and I would leave again tomorrow if I could! We've gone at least twice a year for the past few years and I've never gotten tired of it. Thats why to this day I think we should live in Orlando.

I love the entire town, not just Disney! I love the look, the feel, the things to do!!!! My sisters live there :teeth:

Blondie--it looks like your boys are at an age where they would also enjoy a trip to Universal. Maybe you could sell that to your DH for Jan. 05 and return to the World in 06.

Nope...not yet! We had gone every year since our honeymoon in 2000, but we won't be going this year since DS is still so young. We'll be back in December 2005 and just cannot wait! Going with DS will be a completely different trip for us so I"m sure we won't burn out. :)

Yeah, I had it after I got married there. Probably all the planning etc etc. I couldn't even think about the place, and I was starting to dislike it. Maybe it was the marriage :teeth:

It didn't last long, however, and now I am obsessed once again!

Yup, I had Disney burn out upon returning from our Sept 2001 trip (9/11 & Tropical Storm during our vacation).

I didn't want to talk about Disney. It was almost a year before I put a trip report together. And it was all so vivid & fresh in my mind. A week I will never forget.

I finally got back into Disney when I convinced my parents to let me take them to MVMCP for just one day/night in Dec 2003 while we were in FL visiting my MIL.

Now, we are going to FL again this December for 10 days ---and taking my parents again. But only 3 days at Disney this time.

I have never had Disney burn-out, and in fact, I feel that I talk more and more everyday about Disney. I can understand how you could have some burn-out, because my DH gets a little of that towards the end of our trip. But, he is always ready to go back to Disney the next year.:)

I got Disney burn out after I finished my College Program, not so much for "the magic" but from knowing a bit too much about what goes on behind the scenes, and learning how Disney really isn't all that different than Wal Mart or McDonald's, particularly once you get past the level of people that interact with guests... most of them feel like Disney is different (I know I did, and still do to an extent) but I had a little too much reality mixed with Disney for a while. I love it again now, and I'm comtemplating doing a road trip from Jersey to California (never been out htere before) to maybe get to DL on the 50th... if I can't get into DL, then maybe I could go to California Adventure instead - I'd probably be the only one there hehehe!

No burnout here. Generally as soon as I get home, I am jonesing to go back again.

Alot of my love for Disney has to do with the AC though, and I feel like its my neighborhood bar...it just, sadly, happens to be 2,500 miles away. But not for long as we are Sarasota bound in 2005!

Yup. We got burned out last December. There were some problems on that trip. Since then, I just haven't wanted to return. I'm sure I'll be up for a trip in the future. Just not anytime soon.

I'm a bit burnt out with Disney right now. During our last trip just this past month, we stayed onsite and loved our resort but we only visited MK and DD during this trip. We spent a lot more time doing other things this time.

I'm not concerned. We've gone almost every year for quite a while and I think that the desire to visit all of the parks will come back given time.

I never do but DH does. Also GS (14) tells me he is, at least he thinks he is. Told him we wouldn't be going in February, because we are going to DC in April. He seemed disappointed, maybe it's the age  just can't admit your love of Disney.

Can't keep me away though. DH and I are going with 5 other adults in December. Also were going for Halloween (2005) with double trouble the 2 8-year olds.

I do have to admit I'm not a fast food person, and I get tired of restaurant's. A week at Disney and I'm restauranted out for months.
