I see people all the time leave there packages in wheel chairs and strollers as they go on a ride. Once I left my sony slim cam outside tower terror by mistake when I went to look for it it was gone someone had turned it in to guest relations. It is like Disney brings out the best in people.:)

Or not.
Yes. I've had things stolen in the parks and out of my OKW villa. Disney is not a guarantee that there are not unscrupulous people visiting and working there.

I brought a scarf to tie on the handle of my stroller so I could pick it out of the crowd easily. Someone stole the scarf! :rotfl:

I had a digital camera either lifted or "found" in 2004; it didn't bring out the best in anyone, unfortunately. I dutifully called three different branches of lost and found for like a month afterward.

We had a nice towel taken at Blizzard Beach. It couldn't have been "by mistake". I guess somebody wanted to dry off really badly to use a strangers towel.

I have had things stolen from BCV and OKW. I forgot to lock the safe at BCV and I lost some cash and some park tickets. At OKW I left my jewelry case behind when we checked out and moved to POFQ. I called the same day we checked out as well as every day for a week. There was no sign of the jewlry case until months later when it was returned to me in the mail ... minus my diamond earrings.

Never in the room. I've left tons of stuff around - cameras, videocams, laptops, cash. Maybe they took some of the cash, but there was still over $100 sitting on the dresser.

DD left her Mickey doll on the floor in ITTBAB and we went right back, but it was gone. :( Easily replaced. :)

I always bring my things with me and make sure my camara lenses or jewelry are in a safe, but yet I've seen people with their packages out in strollers and beautiful jackets just left there.. I was amaze that nobody touched them... but reading here, makes me realize that it might be just a matter of time before someone took that package or that beautiful jacket... :rotfl:

Me to reading here I will make sure I don't leave my stuff behind. Still think it is better then most places though.:confused3

I like to think it brings out the best in people.

My son left his wallet on top of a game in the arcade at ASMo and it was turned in before he even knew he lost it. He went up to cash in some tickets and saw his wallet sitting behind the counter. He never knew it was gone. He didn't have much in it but nothing was missing.

A couple years ago I was watching Voices of Liberty in Epcot...I had placed my sunglasses directly in front of me on the floor. When it was over, I reached for my sunglasses, but they had disappeared! Someone took them? I was confused and a bit upset. I watched American Adventure and then on the way out, I asked the gift shop if anyone returned sunglasses. Guess what? They were there! So after the vacation, I told all my friends about how someone stole my sunglasses just to do the good deed of returning them! ;)

Actually the opposite. We were there in May with my son who was 6 and a half months at the time. Our saving grace to keep him occupied a lot of the time was a set of 8 plastic textured rings that we attached to the harness of his stroller. Now these are thick plastic rings and for 7 days they stayed on his harness with no problem. Well on our last day we were at AK and I had stopped in a shady area on our way to EE to wait for my mom and DH. They came and we continued on our way. A short while later when we had stopped to look at something I looked down and noticed the rings were gone - we looked everywhere and couldn't find them. I thought someone had taken them and was shocked someone would steal a toy from an infant and right out of the stroller. Since there was nothing we could do we continued our afternoon at AK - rode EE and were on our way out of the park to go back to the resort to get our luggage and go home when what did I happen to see at the very spot I had been waiting earlier - the rings - neatly piled up on a ledge! My clever son must have gotten them detached somehow and dropped them and some kind stranger (not the baby toy stealer) had picked them up. Considering we passed by the spot a couple of hours later before finding them, my faith was restored and I felt very bad about assuming the worst.

Some woman tried to pickpocket my ex in the Haunted Mansion line. Luckily he had his wallet in his front pocket, with his hand on it. He turned around and asked her to please back away. She shrugged and said "no habla ingles." So he loudly said, "Please stop touching my *ss" (or something like that) in Spanish. Her eyes got really wide, and she turned and ran away!

DP's watch at BB, but that's all.

I did hear about a lot of thefts from POR a few years ago, not sure if there's any truth in that, though.

One time somone stole one of our ponchos on a rainy day!! (It was my brother's so he got to get a Mickey Mouse one instead of a cheap one from Target)

A MacLaren stroller, taken during our first trip in Sept 2000. Very distinctive & expensive (to me!) item, we checked with L&F for a month afterward but it was never turned in.

Doesn't happen often, but it can happen anywhere , even at WDW.

Last year outside of the haunted mansion our whole rental stroller was taken, the only thing on it was our mister fan. We bought the fan at disney about six trips before and hauled it back and forth each time. We were very saf to see our little fan go as it 100 degrees. I had just started chemo so was as bald as a cueball and sweaty. The CM at the store wjere we went to pick up a new stroller gave us a new fan(yeah!!!) i'm thinking the bald thing did it. You would be surprised how nice people are to you when you are bald. :yay: :yay:

On our first trip, we thought our stroller was stollen. We came out of a ride and it was gone. We looked everywhere around where we left it and nothing. I was just about to report it when I saw a Cast Member moving a lot of strollers. I followed her and low & behold I found mine. They were moving them to the exit and we had quickly run back to the entrance to get it. Trying to be helpful scared me to death.
