Have You Ever Had A WDW Seagull Steal Anything From You?

yep - had to walk around the MK for the rest of the day with "bird business" all down the front of my shirt. so humiliating...especially with DH calling me "poopie" for the rest of the day...

Stinkerbelle and Towncrier....the same thing happened to me in Feb. in MK right in Tomorrowland. The seagull poo-poo'ed (or add your own "feces" word there) right on my shorts but thank goodness it was only a little bit and came right off.

But hey, I heard that when a bird poo's on you it is good luck!!! (I think, though, that whoever decided that it was good luck had never been poo'd on before, LOL;) )

ooh-I remember the day well....February of 2002...my 2 DD's had just been to the churro cart in Frontierland....they had the feeling they were being watched...then "whoosh"! The churro was gone. All they saw was the backside of a large black bird flying away laughing....

When I was 9 or 10 I was at Epcot with my mom, Grandma, and Grandpa. I had a chocolate eclair (yummmmm). I hadn't even taken One bite of it...I was bringing it up to my mouth and a seagull swooped down, grabbed it, flew about 5 feet, and dropped it. They Still laugh about it. I'm still mad at that bird!!! ;)

Well..... not at WDW and not human food but......

when we were feeding the dolphins at SeaWorld this past January DS (almost 6 at the time) was having a hard time following the directions about "keep the fish low" and twice he got his dolphin food swiped right out of his hand by a gull. DH felt bad and bought more fish for him to feed the dolphins.....P

WELL, ;) Here I go, I'm not trying to get flamed so please be easy on me.
My family tries to remember to bring in a loaf of bread to feed the seagulls in the parks. In, return, they have never attacked us.:p .
I find that the WDW seagulls are a bit too bold. I had one nip my finger pretty good one time, while the Universal birds are not as forward. We mostly enjoy feeding those birds. I have tons and tons of pics of seagulls taking bread out of my kids hands. They absolutely love doing it, and as long as the birds are playing nice, I will continue to let them feed them.

...I walk along the avenue, I never thought I'd see a "gull" like youuuuu, meet a "gull" like youuuuu.......

I'm not flaming you...but you do realize that feeding them is what makes them so agressive.

And...I'm not flaming you...there are signs posted asking nicely not to feed the birds.

I'm not flaming you...but there are plenty of other things to do besides feed the birds at WDW. :)

When DD was 6 months old we were eating at Sunset Market Ranch in MGM and a bird DROPPED his food right on her. I looked around at first wondering who threw a pizza crust at DD then realized it came from above. :D He better be careful, his buddies might not like that.

My DS 2 1/2 (at the time) and DD (12 at the time) wanted to feed the seals. I bought them both a carton of fish with about 6 fish each and I told them both that the wicked evil birds would try to steal them and to be careful. Well DD lost every single one of her fish to those birds. DS did not lose a single one. He had his eyes trained on them like a hawk and was bound and determined not to let them win. It makes me smile everytime I think about it. I hate those stinkin birds.

Actually, quite a few years ago, DH and I were in the MK, over near where 20000 Leagues used to be. He was wearing a golf shirt with a Bugs Bunny logo(can you say Universal???) and a seagull pooped on his shirt, and it ran from his left shoulder, down the logo!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband swears it was an audioanimatronic gull sent by Disney to get that shirt off him, and it worked!!! I don't know what that seagull had eaten, but it stunk. DH threw the shirt away and bought a Disney golf shift, and wasn't bothered again!!!!!

They stole our fries while we were walking on the Boardwalk in Feb. We must have been an interesting sight, since there were about 30 of those stupid birds circling over us, trying to get the french fries. They only got a couple, but it made me inform mom and stepdad that we're not staying at the Boardwalk on any trip that I'm with them on. LOL...I've been traumatized in the past by seagulls at the beach, so I want as little to do with them as possible.

Well, on our honeymoon a seagull pooped on my head, but they have never stolen any food from us! Never! So there, seagulls!

I always wonder about the birds that are eating people's turkey legs...are they cannibals? Do they know what they are doing? Do their fellow birds avoid them?
