Have you ever gone to the movies while at WDW?

Do they show new movies, and how long do they run?
Disney's Christmas Carol is out Nov.6th, what are the chances that it will be shown at WDW? We arrive late Nov. 11th so the parks will be out, but we would like to see this movie.

We've been a few times.
It is a huge AMC theater, so they show the normal movies that are out everywhere.

We saw the first Pirates of the Carribean movie on a Disney Cruise - that was so cool!

I'm sure they'll be showing Disney's Christmas Carol there at the theatres.

The theaters at Downtown Disney and CityWalk are normal, first run theaters. Movies tend to run there the same amount of time that they run at other theaters.

When to see a movie with DD on our mom/daughter trip in June. Afterwards we said that we'd have to remember to do it again, as it was a great way to end a day (after all that walking).

We watched PoC 2 at the movie theater at DTD. It was fun watching the movie at WDW, then we went to the MK and rode the ride. pirate:

We saw POtC 3 in 2007 at DTD and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull in 2008. It's a nice break from the parks.

Well maybe this doesn't count, but it was while we on a Disney vacation. We went to see a shuttle launch in May and saw Star Trek on the Imax at Kennedy Space Centre, which we thought was kind of cool. Awesome day all round.

We saw Cars at the movie theater in Universal's CityWalk on one of our trips. It was a miserably rainy week (tropical storm) and we just needed a break from walking around soaking wet, so we went to the movie.

Just confirming that it is a regular big AMC theatre. We went once on a Disneyworld trip to see Wall-E during its first week of playing. I thought it would be so cool to see a Disney movie at Disneyworld! Longest.....2......hours......of......my.....life!

(It REALLY was an awful movie IMO )

Saw "The Green Mile" while in Vegas with my brother. Cost me $8 to see it. Cost him $120 to not see it. ;)
