Have you ever bought meat from a truck?

We have them here. No I do not buy from them but only because I buy from the farmers market(or direct at the farm). These guys (on the trucks) are getting their meat from the exact same place the grocery store is so it is no worse (but still not good). We are next door to a guy that runs one.

I confess! I buy meat off a truck!!!!

It's really, really, good though!! LOL!! I know you'll never believe me! ha ha!

I buy from Horizon Foods, and last week got sushi grade tuna, tilapia, shrimp, crab legs, and chicken. I like it b/c it's really yummy, but also b/c it's packed and frozen in single servings which is great since it's just DH and I. You defrost it by placing the little packet in a bowl of warm water, then just take it out the packet and cook it.

The way you describe the meats you buy doesn't sound scary at all. This sounds like a legitimate and well established operation. If I were in your area, I'd give them a try on your recommendation.

Sadly, where I live, the "meat trucks" aren't that way. Ours look like "Bubba" and his cousin found discarded meat out behind a grocery store and decided to "get rich quick".
