DD and I will be visiting the UK and Scotland in two years. That is what she wants for her graduation present. Good for me!

We spent Christmas there this year. Primarily in London, but side visits to Wales and Devon to visit friends and family members (MIL was a war bride so lot's of English cousins to visit)

We had a great time and will go back, but need to save up, not a cheap place to visit (and we used FF miles and hotel points for our travel and lodging)

Yes, often! One of the easiest European destinations!:) (Easy, except for the driving.:o)

Yes, I live here. In the midlands though, about an hour on the train from London. I grew up in Leeds though in Yorkshire, further up the country.

I would LOVE to go to the UK!

I would move there in a heartbeat if I knew I could get a job!

Yup! I did a three month study program while I was completing my BA in education. I loved it so much, I applied to Cambridge and about fell over when I was accepted! So then I spent another year going to University and completing an MPhil. I have wonderful friends who live there and I can't wait until DD is a bit older so I can take her to my second home and visit her British "Grandparents"! The only thing that drove me buggy was then rain, rain and more rain and having to ride my bicycle to and from class, I think I started to mold! :p

I will be studying abroad there my Junior year of college hopefully. Until then, I just visit the UK at EPCOT. :teeth:

I was in London this past November. I have a home based business and the company just opened it's market in the UK. It was a short trip, but I did as much as I possibly could while I was there and I absolutely loved it! I was actually longing to move there, but I'm married and that will just have to be a fantasy :(.
I can't wait to go back again though - hopefully this fall! I'd love to meet some of you who live in London! :wave2:

We are planning a trip for June 2006. It will be the ultimate dream vacation for me. I can hardly wait!

My DH tells everyone that if he ever passes away while I'm still living that I will move to England. I don't know why, but I LOVE anything British or Scottish!

I guess you would call it business/vacation. I took a course in Cornwall as a college student and then spent 3 weeks travelling the country.

Nope have never been....but our tickets have been purchased and hubby and I will be landing at Heathrow on Friday Oct 1!!!! I cannot wait! Should be interesting since we are on the brink of a divorce...but the tickets have been purchased so we are coming:teeth: .

I am planning to visit the UK in the next couple of years. I have seen it by air:D back in 2001.

..... but only if you consider the Navy a business. I was stationed in Holy Loch, Scotland for 3 years. Beautifull country, $#%# weather. Traveled quite a bit. Enjoyed London, although it was quite an eye opener for a teenager from Nowhereville in South Jersey. I was there during the height of The Sex Pistols era.

I did the year before DH and I were married. Went with 2 friends for 10 dyas and it was wonderful. Would love to go back someday with DH.

Well, I couldn't vote because my option wasn't there. I've lived there and visited many times. My Father was in the Air Force and we lived there from 1971-75. Also, my Mother is English (met my Father on a previous tour there in 1958) so I had plenty of relatives there. After we left in '75 my brothers and I would go back nearly every Summer for a couple of months, living with our Grandparents who were in the Greater London area at the time. After High School (1981) it was eight years before I got to go back again. Also, from 1994-1997 I made half a dozen trips of two to three weeks each to stay with friends in the Manchester area. It's been a while now since I've been there, but my SO and I have started talking about a possible trip there in the next couple of years.

I went during high school for three weeks on an exchange program - lots of fun! My ancestors are from Scotland, so I hope to see "our" village someday. Plus, DH's plane has a base in southern England, so we're hoping for an assignment there!
