Have you ever been to a wedding where the bride's mother is the Matron of Honour?

I don't understand what age has to do with picking a MOH?

It sounds incredibly narrow-minded and superficial to be picking or disqualifying someone for their age. Like, it's so the wedding party looks good for the wedding pics.

My step-daughter had her mother as her Matron of Honor, and her best friend as Maid of Honor. She also had a bridesmaid who was about 8 1/2 months pregnant; her gown was made at the last minute. I was cast in the "mother of the bride" role.

My grandmother was 71 when she was my matron of honor. Fat, small, old, young, I don't care. I selected people whom I love without regard for what anyone else thinks.
