Have you done the Seas Aqua Tour at Epcot?

I just booked this for my DH and two of my DS's (14 and 9) and was wondering if it is worth it and if any of you other Dis'ers can tell me what you think. The other 3 of us in the family will not be doing it and it is not going to be a day we use park hoppers, so we can not plan on watching them. I decided to do this rather than all 6 of us doing horseback riding at FW for the same money.

I think they will totally enjoy this. My DH is a certified diver, so he always participates in DiveQuest. And loves it.

AquaSeas isn't much different, except that no certification is required. They are given basic scuba instruction (similar to what is given at some dive resorts) before they'll be entering the tank. My guess is that it will be a highlight of their trip !!

It will be video-taped underwater, so you may get to watch them after all ! The tape is sold separately if you want it; I think it's around $35 or so.

I did the Aqua Sea Tour in August and it was great. First you take a tour behind the scenes at the Living Sea - very interesting. Learn some basics on the tanks and then in the water for about 30 minutes. You get refreshments (pop) and a picture of your group as your going in the water. You get to swim with sharks, stingray and the sea turtle (which is big). It's not very difficult to do if you can snorkle - took me a minute to get used to since Ive never scuba dove before. You have to stay at the top of water which is not a big deal - water is 20' + deep. Hope you have a great time - Im doing it again in December with my 2 kids (11 & 9)

I'm really excited now to surprise them with this. Now I have to figure something fun for the other 3 of us (chickens) to do, but for a lot less money!

Is it possible to do the Aqua Tour at the same time as another member of your party does DiveQuest??

My son has his Scuba certification, but myself and my other son do not, but it would be such a thrill for all of us to go into the tank at the same time!!

I have never heard of this, but it sounds great! I am a certified diver but my DW chickened out before. I am heading down with DW, DD(12) and DS(10) and was curious about the cost of this and the age restrictions if any. I thought I heard that you had to be a certain age to dive due to the lungs not being fully developed.
