Have you been to Epcot's Coral Reef? opinions needed!!

Thanks to everyone for the feedback...it was ALL useful...Coral reef will be one of our backups when we call for ADR's, certainly not #1 on the list ha!

I have been there once. We thought it was good. DH really enjoyed his mahi mahi dish and we both thought the Lobster Bisque was good (on the salty side though). I got a shrimp risotto dish from the appetizer menu, but in a lunch sized portion (all I had to do was ask). It was good BUT salty. I don't mind salt, but if you aren't into salty foods, I can see not liking this. The highlight of our meals was the dessert. DH and I both got "The Wave" dessert and it was great. Overall, we enjoyed Coral Reef but the food was a bit salty. I don't really mind saltiness, but a lot of people do. I suspect this is a reason for mixed reviews. We will go back some day. It was one of DH's return requests (I actually think he'd go back to all the TS restaurants we tried, but he did mention returning), but we aren't going back in March (too many places to try).

EDIT: Service was fantastic. We were seated right by the tank (the first row of booths). The restaurant was only 1/2 full even though it was noon.

Like others said, it isn't a guarantee to get a window seat but it seems no matter where you sit, you can see the tank well. We loved watching the turtles from our 2nd tier type seating!

The food wasn't "wow" but still good. I got the steak and thought it was pretty yummy. The wave dessert is very good. This place to me was more about the view than the food. I think everyone should try it once!
