Have to share

That's wonderful news. We went in Feb 02 and Oct 04 and had a great time. Have you been before?

theres a bus you can go on straight to dlrp, the ques a bit mad but it gets you there

cafe mickey in there dtd style area is lovely as is walts inside the park (infact we ate there 4 times lol)

Hi, I have some tips you may find handy.

we love Cafe Mickey in the Disney Village fora character meal, they also do breakfasts as well. my DD loves it and we always visit this one.

In the actual park there is also a plaza tea party which is sweet stuff like cakes on which is on Main Street.
Lucky Nugget saloon which is a buffet, and also a buffet at Inventions at the DLH(a bit more expensive then the others however I have heard fantastic stuff about it)

Walt's does not do the character breakfast now..It has moved to plaza gardens however it is a lovely place to have a meal.

For non character meals Annette's diner is highly recommended, I would also recommend Rain forest cafe. both in the Disney Village.

The characters will also be in your hotel lobby each morning so its a good idea to get down early and take advantage of this as it can be quite a battle to get near the characters in the park.
A tip is though if you are walking from SL to the park then pop in to the HNY as it is a smaller hotel so less queues for the characters.

Also I read on the DLP board that you staying at SL, so you can book to have breakfast in the park.. It is free so it is worth doing as you will get in the park early and get a head start on the crowds for peter pan ,and Dumbo.
Also when you go WALK to the breakfast and DON'T get the train, this way you will beat the crowds to breakfast and can get done and dusted quicker.

If you want to book this breakfast then do it as early as possible as soon as you have booked your hotel. (you could book it for every day of your stay if you wish)

Not sure on what children you have, however for girls the princess in front of the castle every day from 10.30am-12.00pm. Its a good idea to get here early as queues are very long.
If the queues for characters such as mickey etc are long they take advantage of the fact that it is easy to pop of to the studios where the queues are shorter.

I hope this is some help and I have not gone on to much.

Thank you very much for the info.

I have DD 4, who knows nothing abouth this trip. I'm bursting to tell her.

The CM at DVC reservations asked if i wanted to do breakfast everyday, i thought this was strange as i was on the understanding it was B&B.

So not sure if she has booked us for the breakfast in the park, fingers crossed.

How will i be able to check if she has? Can i pre book this before we arrive?

Love to do Charcters meals, and love Rainforest cafe been to the one at DTD in WDW.

This is a totally new experience for us, normally go to WDW and know pretty much everything. :thumbsup2

What Characters are at the meals, and are they buffet style.

Hi I would phone the reservation line back and see if they have the breakfast on your booking, if not ask them to add it on if you wish to have it. (Its called the Good morning Fantasy Land Breakfast) you don't have to pay extra for it as it is the breakfast that is included in the price you will just be eating at the park rather than the hotel.

It is a good idea to book before you arrive so I would call who ever you made your booking with. your dd is the same age as mine so I assume that she will love fantasy land so the breakfast could be handy for you as you can get some of the rides done and get in the queues for the princesses early.

I have only done cafe mickey, this one is table service and we have seen mickey, minnie, pluto, goofy, captain hook, baloo, pinnochio here.
The rest of the charater meals are buffet meals.
A good tip which you propably already know from wdw is try to make you meal last a while so you will see two sets of charaters as they change them over.

I would strongly recommend the buffet at Innoventions in DL hotel. It was expensive but very high quality when we went and excellent character interaction.

Thanks will get DH to ring back this evening and add on the park breakfast, where do you eat breakfast at.

DD is going to be so confused as she knows her way around WDW which we just follow, she has her own agenda lol :)

Its at one of the restaurants at Fantasy land..they uses different ones. when you check in at the hotel they will give you your vouchers and all the information.
