Have they reclassified deck plans?

Disney Cruise Line cast member (and supervisor) are telling me that on the Disney Dream, room 8012 is a Cat 8B. According to the Disney website it is Cat 8C? I understand it's just location that differentiates it, and we are perfectly fine with the room and location. I suppose it's just the principal of the matter that I booked a GTY 8B, and was given a lesser category. Anyone else experience this?

Thank you! I totally missed this. I'm 99.9% positive when I booked the GTY, it actually said Deck 9 on it, but it's not on my confirmation so......it is what it is.

I've never seen a GTY that specified a deck, just the category.
I'm 100% positive that when I booked it said GTY 8B on Deck 9. Maybe because that category used to only be on deck 9? However, since they reclassified the rooms, they are on deck 7 and 8. Which is fine, however it would be helpful for Disney to update their website/deck plans with corrected categories.

I replied to you on the other thread. It seems that DCL does not keep their website up to date then as I found the description talking about deck 9 there as well. Really not good… sorry it affected you!

From what I can gather it was announced in October 2020 that they were reclassifying some of the stateroom categories effective for all sailings in 2022. Now that it is 2023, you would think that they would have had adequate time to update their website including updated deck plans to reflect the new classification.
